Liberty Township/Powell Ymca

I don’t understand why with as wealthy and populous as this area is, they couldn’t have bought the giant empty gym that used to be LA fitness near Seldom Seen Rd as a Y location instead. That facility is so nice and would be more accommodating, because this location is always severely overcrowded. The track is tiny, they have a variety of machines but low quantity so you’re always waiting on people to finish (plus they break down a lot), the building is so small and busy that you’re always bumping in to people, and even the cubbies aren’t enough during peak times. There is hardly any parking - sometimes people are parked in the grass or along the street. And I feel like they shut down a lot for maintenance/some sort of building issue. Plus they have all these basketball and swim events that make it so busy with kids running around everywhere, it’s just not a good location. Not to even mention that it basically shares a driveway with the middle school and that causes problems a lot. I want to be clear that I LOVE the staff there. They are so kind and helpful. None of this is their fault, and I’m only posting this review in hopes that the right people will see it and pressure them to upgrade the facility. This area’s population has grown rapidly in the last few years and they really need to accommodate that growth.

Good staff in person. However, I Only established membership while I was in town for a few months. They still charge my card many months after I called them to cancel because I went back home to New Orleans. Had to cancel my card because no one answered the phone or they would send me to another office with whose phone service was even worse.

Try it out with a week try it membership! Excellent facilities but bring your own towel. Hot tub, sauna, fitness, walk/run track, pool, gyms, kids programs and so much more excellent and worth the $75 a month.

One star due to poor communication and inappropriate handling of my kids. They were harassed about retaking a swim test they had already passed, and no one sought my consent. Completely unprofessional.

This YMCA is poorly ran. This facility needs professional to manage it not family and friends who got promoted without being qualified. These people sitting their office and do nothing they leave the two teenagers at the front desk to run the facility because all they get paid to do is sit in their office all the brand new equipment is not going to change the disappointment in coming to this YMCA..My husband and I are now driving to Hilliard just to use the YMCA.
