Our toddler daughter attends LPC and we couldn't be happier with the care and education that she receives there! The teachers are incredibly patient, kind, and creative - they come up with interesting and educational ways to engage the children. The student-teacher ratios are one of the best in the area and the facilities are clean, engaging, and fun for kids of all ages. After coming to LPC from knowing only a nanny her entire life, our daughter's transition was seamless. One week of sadness has now translated into months of fun and excitement about attending "school". We are so thankful to the staff at LPC and highly recommend it for any parent looking for a fun, educational, and engaging environment for their little one.
My son attended LPC as a toddler and spent a year in the toddler room with Ms. Talia and Ms. Leslie. We had an amazing experience. We found the teachers to go above and beyond at every opportunity. The teachers are extremely attentive and attuned to the needs of each individual child. The communication is exceptional. In addition to the daily written communication log, I often found emails and extra notes sent my way just to update me on how my son was doing in school . My son came home every day with a smile on his face and many stories to share about his friends and teachers. We would highly recommend LPC to any family looking for an exceptional preschool experience for their child. The director is extremely knowledgeable and highly efficient. She is always willing to work with the families in any capacity and always shows so much compassion. This is a pretty special school and the best choice I could have ever made for my son.
Lexington Playcare Center is an amazing and special place! My daughter went there from 15 months to 5 years old. The teachers and staff are ALL wonderful, kind, supportive, and love working with children. The curriculum is creative, fun, enriching, and encourages children to love learning. It's the type of place you never want to leave! We will be forever grateful for the time Charlotte spent there, the experiences she had, and the memories she made.
Both of our kids went to LPC, so we got to spend many wonderful years observing what a great place this is. Every morning was a happy morning entering the school, and each day was filled with play and learning. LPC teachers are so dedicated to children, and focus on teaching important skills that help make for a better start at Kindergarten. There was also an extensive focus on social skills and problem solving in social situations. We have so many fond memories of this place, given that we started in the toddler room and stayed until it was time to start Kindergarten. In fact both of my kids still wish they could go back to LPC :-)
We love LPC!!!! My younger son went there for three years (he was 2-5yo) and loved every minute of it. He still refers to it as 'his school' and asks to go back and play on the playground (which is awesome by the way). The teachers are warm, caring and fun and have no shortage of energy and creative ideas. They really treat your child like he is one of their own. I never worried for one minute about him while he was in their care. Most importantly, the emphasis at LPC is on play and discovery. The kids go outside all the time, no matter the weather, and teachers organize a ton of projects from cooking to gardening to art. The teachers take the kinds on a walk to the fire station, or the library in town. Believe me, if you don't have kids in public schools yet, you will be shocked at how little time there is during the school day for physical activity and fun, creative activities. I am so glad my son was able to spend 3 yrs at LPC!!
