My wife has been to Cox in Branson several times in the last few months. Everyone we came in contact with was so friendly and polite. Dr. McMurry and staff are super friendly and professional! The ER staff are super helpful and knowledgeable! The 5th floor nurses and nurses aides are superb! Shout out to Kimmie and Nicky! Also a shout to the Cancer Center staff and Doctors!
The Drs and most nurses were great however the accommodations are awful. They expect sick people to share a room with someone and we can't even sit in our loved ones room. They have done procedures in the room on the other patient that makes the room reek of poop. The nurses are slow to get pains meds. You are told over and over again that there are emergencies happening and that is why they can't get to you. Also they proceeded to tell us that our loved one wasn't that sick over an over again. Why would they keep him for days if he wasn't that sick?
Please do not take your loved one here. I took my girlfriend there today and tried to explain to them what was going on as she has been through the same thing many times. So I went home to get our tablet with her medical records and all of the er visits to UAMS in little rock that has her diagnoses on it i walk back in and get meet with a security officer and the surround me i am trying to explain and get her the help that she needs but the doctor gets her feelings hurt and they have me trespassed . So now they don't know her alleges or her current meds. So God only knows if they are going to give her something that could kill her. Please go to harrison or the other hospital in Springfield.
I wish I could give this hospital negative stars. On March 19, 2024 I was brought here via ambulance for a cardiac event. The ambulance driver argued with the nurse who said they had no rooms available. I was taken off the gurney and stuck in a wheelchair. After taking my blood pressure and doing an ECG they stuck me in the waiting room for 4 hours. This was despite me saying I had trouble breathing, severe pain in my chest plus abdominal area. 4 times my family pleaded with them to only be told wait your turn. Finally I get in a room and I’m screaming in so much pain. ER doctor walking by hears me , asks my husband a few questions. He says I think she has an aortic dissection. He demands a CT immediately on for the stupid nurse to say we had to wait because someone was on lunch. After the doctor cursed I was rushed to the scan. By the time I got out the machine med flight was already called. I was bleeding internally on the verge of dying of inadequate care and stupid staff. I had almost every sign of aortic dissection and they ignored me for 4 hours. Going to this hospital is wishing for death. Avoid at all cost!!!
UPDATE (10/15/2025) I called the Branson Hills clinic to get a new doctor because I was dismissed by Dr. Elizabeth Jordan Moore at the clinic at the hospital. She had accused me of obtaining clonazepam from somewhere else (which is a crime). She had not realized that she had prescribed the clonazepam for 4 months and she had prescribed it in November 2024 and December 2024. So basically she was accusing me of illegally obtaining the extra clonazepam when she was the one who overprescribed it and gave me 8 months worth. She then had me banned from the hospital premises the next day after I had left a bad review. Nobody has told me the reason I was called by security a day after my office visit. Anyway, this clinic on Branson Hills wont accept me because I was dismissed by another doctor. So basically I am withdrawing from clonazepam and there is no doctor I can see in Branson with Cox. I also have Cox insurance. Yesterday (10/10/2025) one of their doctors made a false accusation against me before terminating my treatment while she was having me discontinue Clonazepam after 24 years. I have proof now that the accusation was false and the doctor is to blame. Today I got a shocking call from COX "security" that I was banned from the hospital premises for an "incident" yesterday. There was no incident. No yelling, no physical threats, no cops, no security. I kindly asked the lady at the front desk for a refund, she did it, and I left. Last night I left a bad Google review for the doctor and this afternoon I was banned from the hospital. I am totally confused about the whole situation. I could maybe understand it a little more if did something wrong like yell at the staff or the doctor yesterday. The only thing I said to the doctor while I was leaving was that she is a fruitcake and I am not finished dealing with the situation. I went to the doctor because I was having severe muscle spasms in my back after she recently had me discontinue the clonazepam I had been taking for 24 years. She basically accused me of getting clonazepam outside of her care which is completely false. She wanted to know where I was getting clonazepam since she had not prescribed it for months. I got the records from the pharmacy yesterday after she dismissed me as a patient. Every prescription she gave the pharmacy was for 4 months worth of drugs. There you go genius. Who was giving me all of the clonazepam for months? You were.
