We are so grateful to have found Highland Preschool! The educators are not only extremely professional, knowledgeable, and caring, but also true experts in the field. Their thoughtful and intentional approach is evident in every aspect of the school. Since our son began attending Highland last school year, we have been continually impressed by the nurturing environment and the meaningful, child-centered learning experiences provided. We have felt confident entrusting the educators in caring for our son each day. The emphasis on outdoor exploration and authentic, hands-on learning has supported his growth in such a natural and joyful way. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that values curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Having sent our daughter to Highland for three years now, I can safely say it has been the single best decision we have made as parents thus far. The environment at Highland is one that values and prioritizes play, exploration, curiosity and activity. The kids spend most of the day outside in the large play yard and are encouraged to be themselves, however that manifests. The teachers are kind and intelligent and teach core values of empathy, compassion and community. The parent community is highly involved and collectively values raising independent thinkers. I truly cannot say enough good things about the people that make this school so special. We feel so fortunate to have Highland play such a large role in helping shape who our children are.

Our son was in a different preschool a couple days a week and we noticed it wasn’t serving him. He was about 2 when we realized he needed a change. He didn’t love large groups and had a hard time communicating with friends due to a speech delay. He was getting left out of activities because of this. We knew we needed a smaller class size and an empathetic approach from the teachers. A place that really cared about each individual child and had the resources to give to each child. We found Highland and did the tour. I loved their philosophy and everything I saw. Our son thrived there! Some of the concerns we had while he was in the previous daycare were non-existent at highland. He felt safe and comfortable. He made friends and even with a speech delay the staff was sensitive to it and helped him along the way. I also love knowing he is outside as much as possible in their natural space, exploring like a little kid should. We love highland and are so thankful we found them for our son.

We feel incredibly blessed to be part of the Highland family. We follow respectful parenting and are big believers in child led play based learning so Highland was the perfect fit for our family. And the teachers are what make Highland special. They are the most loving authentic human beings on the planet and they love all the children. Each of them treat each child with love and respect in every interaction. We couldn’t be more thankful to their impact on our little loves lives. Our middle child entered shy and a little guarded and left transformed- confident and happy. She is now 6 and is thriving beyond our wildest imaginations at kindergarten. Our youngest is in his second year at Highland and he loves school so much so he doesn’t want to be picked up until closing and when he is an adult he wants to teach at Highland. ❤️ Thank you to all at Highland for loving, nurturing and supporting my kiddos so well! PS Highland staff is also diverse, and likely as a result, student population fairly diverse too, which is also of high value to our family. PPS Love that the kids spend so much time playing outside!

This school has set the standard impossibly high for preschools/daycares everywhere. We previously tried another school (in the same cost range) and the difference is night and day. If you want your child to be safe, loved and supported to become their best self, send them here. This has become my family’s dream school. We could not be happier with each and every teacher there and the entire school model. I feel like the educators treat my son like their own child. My family is incredibly blessed to be able to send our son there.
