We had some free time on Saturday evening, so we decided to take a drive to Yakima and stop at Legends Casino in Toppenish on the way home. We usually visit Quest, Wildhorse, or the Coeur d’Alene Casino, but it had been a while since we’d been to Legends, so we decided to give it another try. Our last visit was a few years ago after a concert. At that time, the smoke was nauseating and the casino felt dirty. We had heard Legends had remodeled, so we thought it might be worth another visit. We arrived mid-afternoon and had to park quite a distance from the entrance, as the closer entrance was closed due to construction. After a brief walk, we reached the casino—only for me to be refused entry because I didn’t have my physical ID with me. I did have a clear photo of my ID, but that was not accepted. What made the situation worse was the staff’s attitude. They were rude and completely unaccommodating. As frequent casino visitors who travel to Las Vegas twice a year, this was surprising. We’ve never been asked for ID in Las Vegas, and we’ve visited most tribal casinos in Washington and Idaho without being carded. As a teetotaler in my 60s, I am clearly old enough to gamble without being hassled. Because of this experience, we will not be returning. Sayonara, Legends.
I really hate having to write this because I love supporting other Native-owned businesses as a Native myself, but my experience at Legends was awful on night one. I stepped outside briefly without my ID by accident . I didn’t think I’d need it just to go back up to my room. Earlier that evening, I came and went several times and was never asked to scan my ID. On the fourth* time, as we were loading our things up to our room, security suddenly refused to let me back in, even though all of my belongings (and my partner’s) were upstairs in our room. I understand rules are in place for safety, but there should be reasonable flexibility for actual guests who clearly aren’t trying to gamble or access restricted areas. Instead of offering to verify my room number or escort me up to grab my ID, staff made it unnecessarily difficult. It turned what should’ve been a relaxing night into a stressful mess. Thankfully, my daughter was still upstairs and was able to grab my partner’s wallet so he could bring me my ID. Otherwise, we would’ve been stuck outside our own room. My boyfriend had booked his room last minute so we didn’t have to drive home to Auburn tonight now I wish we had. My reservation is for tomorrow, but after how this was handled tonight , I’m seriously canceling and staying somewhere else. Rooms are decent, but the attitude from the security supervisor (or manager) working by the valet entrance around 10 PM on 11/6/25 was not it. She was rude and dismissive after I asked to speak to her boss. As a Native woman, it’s disheartening to be treated that way by another Native employee especially in a place that should be about respect and hospitality. I did end up speaking with her boss, who was much more respectful and professional. Hopefully management sees this and provides better training on how to treat guests especially those who are staying on the property, not just visiting the casino.
26 Jan 2026 - 4 Stars Had lunch at "Burger" for the first time. Lots of shrimp in the basket meal. Also got a cup (and it came with a "chaser") of Clam Chowder. It's Skippers Chowder, just as I remember it. The Chowder & Shrimp basket was a bit more than I could eat by myself. Good price with large portions. ** One down side, NO Cocktail Sauce for the shrimp. ** I will eat here again.
I got there early like around 12:20pm, even it says checkin after 3pm, but they had the room ready and I was able to drop my stuff first before i went on my adventure. The room was very clean and specious. I also really like their checking ID before entering the building, makes me feel very safe in there. Service though, i had mixed experience, the day when i checked in which was 12/6/25, there were two staff members, one male and one female, they are really friendly and helpful. But when I checked out the next day, another lady wasn’t that nice, she has that don’t bother me attitude. If the management is reading this review, please find out who’s working 12/6/2025 12:17pm ish, those two are your star staff! Also, I got back around 10:30pm and there’s security truck driving around the parking lots, and I felt pretty safe.
We rented a room and the bathroom had blood spattered all over it! I contacted the front desk and numerous folks came to check it out and the procedures to “clean it up” were were beyond disgusting! The he mop they used to clean the blood up with they promptly sat on the carpet…. Uhhhmmm no thanks and nothing they cleaned blood with was put in a biohazard bag? So does that just get washed with linens? We wash our faces with blood, fecal matter, who knows what? Because our staff really doesn’t care
