My foster baby attended care here for about 9 months. Initially things went well and we had no complaints. During his time in care, at least 7 employees left and there was no stability in his classroom. I addressed issues with leadership, including lack of proper diaper changes and lack of communication from teachers about him not eating the entire day. No real changes were made. Shortly after he got sick and was positive for covid, RSV, and the rhino virus. When I called to school to advise, they brushed it off and noted that they posted signs that other kids in his class were sick as well. No information was provided about additional steps they were taking to sanitize rooms or keep kids who seem to be ill, away from everyone else. During his last week at this facility they switched him classrooms completely and he did not adjust well.
2nd week of Summer 2024, knowing all other child care facilities are full and not accepting new children. My 3 year old daughter gets expelled for not being fully potty trained and she could NOT have any accidents. The 2 week potty contract does not say anything of expulsion nor does the Legacy Preschool handbook provided. If a child struggles with anything (verbal communication, behaviors, 3 and above struggling with potty training) do NOT take them here. They will expell your child. Doesn't matter how much money you pour in, or participated in the school events. I did private pay of $200 weekly and then get the weekend to find another facility. Never got any updates on whether my daughter would be able to stay. I even spoke with 2nd owner Shelby 1 week prior for update because I needed to know if that date was set, nothing. Spoke with my daughters teachers and NO ONE said she was getting kicked out. I asked for updates, sent extras clothes, anything asked of. I contacted Director Shauna directly, left Voice message, nothing. Shauna ghosted me and wanted nothing to do with anything. The decision was made for my oldest 5 year son back in May, they expelled him due to his behavior. Shelby and Shauna gave us a set last date for him, which was fine. 3 weeks was more then enough for me to find child care. But because he struggles with emotional regulation and self control (seeing a behavioral therapist for it too), they kicked him out couple of days later and didn't uphold their end of the set date. Cameras are in this facility but do NOT work either. According to Shauna only the front entrance works. When I asked for video footage in the beginning for my son for his behavior, they informed they do not work. If you're private pay, 10 out of 10 DO NOT recommend especially if both parents are full-time. It was an awful experience for me and I hope no other momma goes through what I did.
I would put 0 stars if I could. Today was my daughter's first day of school. She has never been to school before and is unfamiliar with this setting. They didn't even let her stay for longer than 3 hours before completely kicking her out of the program. I was assured from Ms Letty in the front office and my daughter's "teacher" that they had plenty of teachers who would assist in her getting use to a new environment. The first excuse to why she was being kicked out was because of her not being fully potty trained. Even though they didn't even attempt once to try with the potty she was still in the same pull up I had sent her to school in. I brought up that I was assured the potty training would be handled as she was put into the 2 year olds room. Then it became that it was the teachers first day and my daughter overwhelmed the teacher. I don't see why they would put a brand new teacher and a brand new student together but it's absolutely no reason to completely kick a child out of the school setting. They did not try and work with me one bit. Cannot recommend this place to anyone one bit.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They can always answer questions i have about my kiddo during pick up and the next morning. They have locks and codes for entering the building. The classrooms are clean and the school is kept nice and cool. The kiddo has been very happy and is excited to go to "school" every morning.
