Learning Years-Landmark

My baby has been going here since December and as an anxious mom I can truly say that I have developed nothing but love and trust for Learning Years! As a first time mom who stayed at home until my baby was 7 months old, I was at first very hesitant about enrolling her in daycare and was even considering a nanny. I toured a few different daycares in the area and Learning Years was absolutely the most welcoming and informative during the tour with Rita. The fact that when I called and she said we could come by any time for a tour was promising, as someone who also works in a child related field. Their infant classroom is fantastic with the play space and toys, very open and lots of window light. I love that even the infants get to have outside time every day and/or walks, which was not the case at other daycares I toured. Ms. Rebecca and Ms.Carmen have been wonderful teachers to her, as well Rita, Mindy and the other staff! They consistently send updates of her day through the procare app which has been so helpful in easing my mom worries while I’m at work, every diaper change, meal, snack, bottle, nap start and end times, and pictures! They are very fast to respond to messages too. It has made having her in daycare so reassuring. In her time there she has learned so many play and social skills! She has now moved up from infants to their toddler classroom and the transition has been seamless and again the classroom setup is perfect. I also love how they have a photographer come to do family portraits around the holidays and spring photos. My baby is so clingy but gets so excited when we get to daycare which is all I could ask for! I am so thankful that she is gaining such skills and having so much fun during her time there. I never would have imagined I’d feel so trusting, satisfied and at ease with any day care for my child. Thank you so much Learning Years!!!

During my tour of this place, I noted several negative points that raised red flags. When I inquired about discipline, it felt as though I was being pressured to agree with the director's methods as the only acceptable approach, rather than having my perspective as a parent considered. Additionally, the director's phone kept ringing throughout the visit. The Pre-K class was chaotic, and the teacher seemed more focused on her phone than on the children, which was concerning.

We sent our 1 1/2 year old and 4 year old here off and on over the years and they have always thrived and had a lot of fun. I would recommend to any one friend, or family.
