Learning Station Daycare & Pre-School

I absolutely love this place. Both of my kids come here and they love it. The staff is amazing and they are so nice. The owner goes above and beyond for the kids and their safety. My daughter has been coming here since she was 4 months and she loves it. Every time we drive up to the building she claps her hands and kicks with excitement. My son doesn’t fight with me or pout when he comes. As a mom it’s feels good to see your kids happy because you know that they are being treated very well.

I’m so happy with this place— it is a small daycare, very affordable, but beyond that, my daughter’s caregivers are so loving and so in tune with her needs. They pay attention to her, teach her, play with her, sing with her, and really keep her happy. As a first time parent, I was hesitant to leave my two month old but this place made her feel right at home. Now, almost a year and half later, I’ve never once had an issue and the caregivers are so attentive and loving— they have my daughter’s best interests at heart and I really genuinely appreciate them. My daughter is thrilled every time we arrive at daycare and this eases my new parent nerves dramatically. They are so patient with her and are very aware and considerate of her individual needs. I see that they are this way even with the other children. I think that is the benefit of a smaller facility, they really know my child. The owners are also great people who ensure that my child and every child is priority. I’m excited to see her continue her learning and growing here.

I am very satisfied with the services. Owners and staff are very friendly. My daughter is in the babies room, she is very attached to the caregivers I guess because she feels loved. My son is learning so much that I am sure he will be ready for school when the time comes. I truly recommend this place.

My children have been at the daycare for 2 years and I'm very happy with the care. Itala, the owner is a very nice, understanding and patient person. The staff is very nice with parents and with the children too. I highly recommend this daycare 👌

Before I begin my post I must mention that I have not enrolled any kids with this facility, this is just what I witnessed as a passerby. Behind the Dollar General there's the playground that's used by the Learning Station, I saw that there were two women in charge of about 8-10 toddlers. One of the women (curly brown hair, glasses, fair skin) was really mean with the children. She would yell at them a lot and quite aggressively. She looked like she hated her job and the kids looked visibly scared. There seemed to be no understanding (or care) of child development and their actions were borderline abusive, especially psychologically. I have come from a place where a lot of abuse occurred and so I'm quite affected by events like this. There are much better ways to get a kid to listen to you and respect your decisions, yelling and making them scared is not the right one at all. Given the other reviews are very positive I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt and hope that this was just one worker having a bad day and that it doesn't reflect the company and the other workers. It's even more sad because the playground is located behind the dollar gen as I mentioned and so it's relatively private, almost no one travels behind there. I feel if they were in a more public location their actions and attitudes would have been different. I have contacted the station and they said they would bring it up to their boss. Given that I'm a frequent goer of the dollar gen, if I see that the situation has changed I will amend this review. If it doesn't then I will have to contact the appropriate authorities to have them look into this. Until then this is a 1 star review.
