What Parents Say
Learning Ladder Preschool receives polarized reviews with most parents praising the teachers, care quality, and facility, while a smaller group reports serious concerns about management, handling of behavioral issues, and termination practices. The center appears to excel in classroom instruction and daily communication but struggles with administrative professionalism and inclusivity of children with different behavioral needs.
What an amazing place and experience my son had here! When you join Learning Ladder, it’s something special. The teachers are amazing, all ages. This place has it down. Very communicative. The skills the teachers push are excellent! If you love your child.. this place does too! Thank you for some wonderful years Learning Ladder!
It's heart breaking to see the negative reviews on here directed towards this center. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Learning Ladder. The staff is so incredibly personable and they genuinely care for the children. Along with the outstanding playground space they provide for the various age groups, the classrooms are all very well supplied with activities, toys, and crafts for indoor play as well. One of the most structured centers I have been to.
Avoid this daycare - and read the other reviews. This is not a daycare that fosters confidence in children, or nurtures strong-willed or spirited personalities in my opinion. Save yourself headaches, heartache, money, time and just skip this daycare, there are plenty of better options around. If you have no other option at least get on another daycare’s waitlist. It seems like the only thing keeping this center afloat are the teachers. Most of the teachers are great and truly care about your little one. They are the reason our family enjoyed our time there, but it seems like they desire more resources or help than the daycare will provide. At some point you might run into issues with the office staff as mentioned in other reviews. I’m not sure they even want to be in childcare - they barely show any excitement for the kids. The office staff (owner and kids) don’t seem to be around to assist with classroom challenges. If your child is energetic and is deemed to have “bad behavior” you could have issues. We had our schedule shortened for one child, and then our child care terminated by email on a weekend, for BOTH of our children, without previous notice. The focus of day care should just be on giving the best care possible to your kids, but I didn’t see that from the owners. I didn’t see any passion, interest, or commitment for caring for your children - just collecting tuition fees. We are happy to say our child is now doing much better at their new daycare. This seems to be a similar experience when reading other families’ reviews of this school. You will also see this in the unprofessional and inaccurate review responses by the owner, that are laughably untrue and they may put you in the same position as us in the future. The office is far from family and working parent friendly. They recently raised tuition, cut hours, cut lunch, and implemented a $5 penalty for every one minute you’re in the building after 5pm. We recommend reviewing these terms compared to other daycare options. Owner will say these are standard but not from what we discovered when looking at other options. This is disappointing to write because our start here was pleasant. We can’t tell if the center has just declined in quality because the office is checked out…or we didn’t notice these issues until our child grew older. We could write more on our experience but they’ll come back saying we’re just a disgruntled family - we’re not. We just want to warn others of this place, as we wish we knew before. Wishing the teachers here the best, as they also deserve better.
I would not recommend Learning Ladder to anyone. They do a very poor job with communication and issues they had with my children magically disappeared when we changed daycares. The director there was unbelievably unprofessional throughout my time working with her and her leadership was mirrored by many of the staff. I have 4 kids and have been to a few different day cares and Learning Ladder was by the worst. The poor communication and unprofessional behavior by the director Linda is something I have never experienced.
Learning Ladder is a wonderful part of our children's lives. The love and nurturing that is provided is something that goes above and beyond "a childcare center." The teachers and staff provide daily communication on our kiddos well being, including what they are working on, their moods, upcoming things for families to look forward to, and supplies needed in the future. Linda, Jason, Amy, and Cadie are professional, loving, and understanding of each of my kiddo's needs, likes, and dislikes. They are responsive and knowledgeable in any topic we have ever needed guidance on regarding transitions, potty training, sleep, and beyond. They greet families and kiddos by name each and every day. They are a wonderful and welcome extension of everything our family needs regarding care for our children. They have been in the community providing care for many, many years and take an active role in improving the community around them. Our kiddos come home each day happy and tired. Our kiddos beg me to ask for the recipes used for lunch and snacks "because their food is the best!" Which is true! Their menu far exceeds what is "standard" in child care, providing delicious and nutritious home-cooked meals that are a topic of discussion between my kids daily. I highly recommend Learning Ladder for a safe, welcoming, wonderful space for kids to grow.
