Learning Hands Preschool And Mdo/Hillcrest Baptist Church

There is no perfect church in our world. That's why we need Jesus. My husband and I have been members at Hillcrest for about 13 years. We've always valued the preaching, which is not based on feel good topics and supported by random bits of the Bible, but is a true study of God's Word, verse by verse. There are also so many talented, passionate musicians who lead the church in singing praises to God. At first, we met a lot of smiling, friendly people, but struggled to feel like we fit in. Since church wasn't exactly working out as a social fix for us, we started SERVING. For us, that meant spending time in the children, youth, and music ministries and going to help start a church in the heart of Mexico. That is when Hillcrest really became family. At Hillcrest we gather together to SERVE, not to be served. What a joy it is to serve alongside these people! We all need Jesus everyday. We are all learning to love and serve like Him. We would love to have you join us!

Been here since 2009. Amazing body of believers. This church family loves Jesus and collectively, humbly follows Him in obedience. We aren’t perfect, and we know that but we wanna honor God with our lives. Pastor Jordan preaches an expository style and through a complete book start to finish verse by verse. Direct interpretation with no extrabiblical illustration, just pure biblical truth very carefully studied and delivered week in and week out year after year. Sometimes it’s easy to hear and sometimes hard but it’s ALWAYS pure untainted biblical truth. If you wanna be loved, have the opportunity to connect with your church and your community and enjoy true corporate learning and worship. This is a wonderful place to be.

My wife and I joined Hillcrest 6 years ago and love the people there. This church is Christ-centered and and all of its members are encouraged to serve in the church and in the community using their gifts and talents. One thing I love is the emphasis the pastor puts on the expository preaching of God's Word. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a place to serve and grow in Christ to come to Hillcrest.

I have had many tough transitions in my life. My parents were divorced when I was 13 years old and the people at Hillcrest Baptist helped me cope through that time in my life. I got out of the Marine Corps in 2004 to begin college. During that time, I went through a divorce. I still had to work, care for my two year old daughter, and finish college in order to provide for her. The people at Hillcrest Baptist church helped encourage and love me through this time in my life, and keep me focused on the fact that God is ultimately in control. As I took more opportunities to serve in the church, the more my knowledge and confidence of how to witness to people in the world grew (which is what we are all called to do). Hillcrest Baptist helps educate believers and non-believers alike on what God's Word says, and how to study the Word of God. This way a believer can grow, and become a more effective witness for Christ in the world. I love Hillcrest!

Although I have not visited the Church in person, I watch Dr. Jordan (Hillcrest Baptist) on YouTube. I'm super impressed by the quality and content and draw the conclusion this would be my church home if I where within an hour of a commute. I live North of Atlanta and will visit this church just to meet Dr. Jordan and to let them know how much I appreciate the message on YouTube. I know it takes a lot of work and I am so appreciative.
