What Parents Say
Learning Garden - Sunset has overwhelmingly positive reviews (7 five-star ratings) praising caring, attentive teachers, responsive administration, and strong child development. Two one-star reviews cite staff indifference and concerns about the surrounding neighborhood near a shelter. Parents generally report high satisfaction but note the center is among the more expensive options in the Bellevue area.
Our child attended Bright Horizons at Sunset for over two years, and we couldn’t be happier. The teachers are caring and attentive, and the food provided is nutritious. We’ve seen such positive growth in our child during this time. Truly grateful to the entire team. We would highly recommend the school.
We quit after 2 days here, even though that means forfeiting one month tuition. For 2 reasons: 1. The teachers here don’t seem to care about kids, also don’t seem to enjoy their job. In the 2 days we are in, no one stands out to welcome us. Day one is always nervous, their indifference makes my kid feel worse. 2. The outside surrounding is terrible. The center is very close to a shelter, and there are always some weird people rambling around, you can see policy cars almost every day. I can’t believe leaving my kid in such environments. There is no grace period. What you paid is their money. But I don’t really care, nothing is more important than my kid’s happiness and safety.
Our experience with Bright Horizons at Sunset has been phenomenal. As a first time mom, I was so nervous leaving my baby when returning to work, but the teachers are so responsible and loving. The administrative staff is so responsive and answered all my questions along the way. The app was so helpful in making me feel connected to my baby and gave me peace of mind while I was at work. Overall, I would recommend this bright horizons to anyone looking for a safe, fun, and educational place to send their child!
As a new first time mom, I was so nervous about having to send my then-5 month old baby to start daycare. But I have been so happy with his teachers, who are both so kind, patient and attentive to him. They give him all the love he needs while I'm away at work and keeps him occupied with different toys and activities every day. I am so appreciative that Ms. Jan especially works with me on his ever-changing needs all the time and sends me updates of everything he's doing throughout the day, putting my mind at ease. My son is always happy at drop off to go into Ms. Jan's arms and start his "school" day. It makes me feel very good about having to leave him when I know he will be learning new skills, trying new foods, and be well loved and taken care of during the day.
After 4 months of maternity leave I started back to work and my little man started daycare (we call it baby school) at Bright Horizons. I’ve never regretted a moment he’s spent there. His teachers are fantastic- I learn from them every day. They give me tips for stuff to work on at home. The best part is that each teacher seems to appreciate my kid’s unique individual baby personality. They share stories at the end of the day like he’s their own kid. Drop off and pick up are the best parts of my day. Every single staff person there is fabulous and lovely. There are some awesome women running that place btw. And the place is clean, fun, and safe. If you can swing the cost, it’s worth every penny.
