We love TLC and are so happy with our decision to send our children here. Both our children started off in the toddler room and moved up. Both kids are excelling academically, thriving socially, and generally love going to school every day. You can tell the administration and staff care deeply and go above and beyond. I highly recommend TLC to other parents seeking out a good foundation and safe and fostering space for their kids.
I have been incredibly disappointed with the way this Montessori handles closures. They shut down at the slightest hint of snow or bad weather, which is not only inconvenient but also raises serious questions about their preparedness and commitment to families. You'd understand this with public schools that have large campuses, this daycare has a much smaller space to manage. To make matters worse, they don’t seem to take basic preventative measures like salting their pathways before snow starts. This not only puts children at risk but also seems to serve as an excuse for last-minute closures. For working parents who rely on consistent care, this level of unpreparedness is unacceptable. These closures are on top of the public school calendar closures. Unacceptable for us. If you’re looking for a daycare that values reliability and puts effort into ensuring safety while staying open, you might want to explore other options.
LC has been an excellent experience for both our sons. We moved to Sammamish at the beginning of the pandemic with 4 and 2 year olds and were looking for a school and were new to Montessori. Our neighbors recommended TLC and we couldn't be happier. The school never closed during Covid and managed a once in a lifetime pandemic with grace and foremost, childrens' safety in mind. our oldest son is now in public school and has excelled because of the foundation the Kim's and all the great teachers provided him. Couldn't recommend the school more highly.
Our experience with TLC Montessori has been absolutely amazing. My son, who is now ~6yo, started to go to TLC when he was 2.5 yo, and over the last three years, we have seen him growing, learning, being more curious about things around him, communicating better. His development , academically and socially , has been remarkable. That is why we registered our daughter, and she will start in TLC toddler in coming September as well (she is 1.5yo). I highly recommend TLC for anyone wanting a top notch program for their children.
