Our experience with LAPM teachers has been an extremely supportive one. Our daughter has never been in the care of anyone else besides us, her parents, and LAPM is her first time being left outside of us. The teachers have taken my daughter’s situation and personality into consideration in helping her transition into school and being without mom and dad for a few hours. Our first day of school was very anxiety provoking, but this very quickly dissipated when my husband and I saw and felt the confidence in Ms. Shawnnen and Ms. Sana when they helped my crying toddler to the room as we waved goodbye. While most parents may see this day as a difficult memory, this day was a good memory despite my daughter’s tears as we felt she was in good hands. The teachers gave us the feeling that it will be ok and she will be ok. My husband and I trust the teachers and appreciate the feedback and reports we receive during pick up. Our daughter has made leaps and bounds and we are so happy we found LAPM Dusterberry.
We’ve been very happy with Learn and Play Montessori! Our child has thrived in the self-directed learning environment. We have noticed significant increase in her confidence and ability to learn on hands-on learning and developing real life skills. All the teachers are kind, encouraging and motivating to each and every child. The school’s curriculum is amazing. The school provides safe and loving environment. The staff, particularly Ms. Shawnnen and Ms. Sana have helped my daughter significantly gain confidence and self-independence. I am so happy to see the positive changes in my child. My daughter is very eager to go to school each morning. Ms. Sana, my child’s teacher, patiently guided her through various activities, fostering her interest in STEM. We highly recommend the school to any parent who wants the absolute best education and future for their child.
My daughter has been attending LAPMS Dusterberry since September 2024. Before enrolling, she was at a family-operated daycare. As she turned two, I noticed her increasing curiosity and desire for intellectual growth. However, her previous daycare did not provide the stimulating learning environment we sought—both emotionally and intellectually. In July 2024, I began searching for the right preschool, carefully screening multiple schools and campuses. That’s when I met Ms. Shawnnen Frasier. After a 30-minute conversation, I was convinced that LAPMS Dusterberry was the perfect place for my daughter to learn, grow, and thrive. Following the Montessori method, students at LAPMS Dusterberry are guided and encouraged to make positive choices. Within just a month of attending, my two-year-old daughter could effectively express her emotions and desires. Her teachers consistently provide detailed updates on her progress, including her well-being and daily activities. Through school-led learning experiences, she has flourished creatively, demonstrating her imagination through crafts and playtime. Beyond academics, she has also learned valuable lessons in compassion and emotional intelligence by interacting with peers her age. Just last Monday, the school celebrated its 100th day, and my husband and I are incredibly grateful for the dedication and hard work of every staff member in shaping these young minds. LAPMS Dusterberry is more than just a daycare where I drop off my daughter each day—it’s a place where I have seen her grow into a confident, positive, and engaged individual. We are truly thankful for the nurturing and enriching environment this school provides.
Our 3yo has been attending learn and play peralta branch for over a month and we are very happy with the preschool. Both Ms Shannon and Ms Poonam take good care of kids. The worksheets that kids do are creative, the kids do yoga everyday, the facility is very neat and clean. The school follows all guidelines laid by the govt diligently which I have not seen in many of the other preschools. Would recommend the peralta branch to all parents.
