What Parents Say
Leap and Bound Academy receives predominantly positive reviews, with most parents praising the caring staff, developmental progress of their children, and daily communication through photos and updates. However, one parent reported negative experiences with punitive teaching methods, favoritism, and constant complaints about their child's behavior in the older age groups.
My husband, kids and I love Leap and Bound! My first daughter has been there since she was 4 months old and is now 2 1/2 and she thrives there! Her speaking skills are ahead of her age and I’m surprised everyday with the knowledge she comes home with. My daughter speaks so highly of all of her teachers - Ms. Erin, Ms. Sue, Ms. Liliana, Ms. Emily, Ms. Susan and Ms. IJ are the best!! Our 5 month old started in the infant class recently. I was sad to part with her for the first time and our oldest daughter said “mommy she’ll love it.. it’s fun!” 😂 they’ve done such a good job at making us feel comfortable and keeping us updated on her progress through the app throughout the day.
We love Leap & Bound! My 13 month old son has been going here since he was a little over 3 months old and everyday I drop him off, he is so happy and so excited to see all the teachers! They keep me updated throughout the day with messages, pictures, and videos. I feel very comfortable dropping my son off here everyday. We especially love Miss Erin!
Our 16-month-old son absolutely loves Leap and Bound! From the very first week, we could see how comfortable and happy he felt with the teachers. The staff is so caring, patient, and attentive — they truly treat every child like their own. Each day is filled with fun activities that support learning and development, and we love getting updates and photos throughout the day. It gives us such peace of mind knowing he’s in a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment. We’re so thankful to have found Leap and Bound!
L&B has been amazing for our kids. The teachers treat them with great care and attention and have taught them valuable skills. Ms Erin & the team are incredible, we receive frequent updates and feedback. The hot meals are a lifesaver for busy parents!
I had both my daughter & son at Leap & Bound. While the program claims to prepare kids for kindergarten, my experience was awful. In a class of 4- to 5-year-olds, teachers insisted my son was the only one who didn’t listen—the only one who had to be scolded every single day. They were punitive, relied on constant scolding, & used negative instead of positive reinforcement. I recall going on a tour through the school since my daughter had gone there during preschool & kindergarten & one of the teachers turned to my daughter, who was now 10 years old, and said, "I remember you. You were a bad kid." She said this during a tour! I should've known not to have my son go there. No, she wasn't joking. She was serious. My daughter is very well-behaved. So, when my 4-year-old son went there, the daily complaints created HUGE anxiety for us as parents. They made us feel like there was something wrong with our son. Nothing was wrong with him. After moving into a new house & to a new school, it was night & day. His new teacher calls him attentive, well-behaved, a great listener & is a great student. Clearly, the issue wasn’t my son—it was the teachers. Teachers at Leap & Bound can be bullies to certain kids while playing favorites with others. I do not recommend this school. Not to mention, they continue to raise their price. Warning: If you send your child here, there is a high likelihood that you will receive daily complaints through their parent app portal, which can cause immense stress. It is VERY unhealthy for a child to be constantly rebuked when they're simply acting their age. A 4-year-old has lots of energy. They can squirm in their seat. Big deal. Yelling at them every day is NOT healthy education. It is ABUSE! If these teachers can't handle 4-year-olds, then they shouldn't be teaching children!
