Loving our experience so far. Clean, kind, welcoming environment for kids and family. I love the app sharing parts of my child’s day and that I can send notes as well. My son’s teacher has been very supportive of my homeschooled 5 year old transitioning mid year to a prek program. She is open to helping him transition in whatever healthy ways possible including bringing his favorite toy.
I loved the school when Diamond was there ever since she left it’s been downhill. A new director every few months , nobody never knows anything because they constantly have new staff in and out . The staff has lost 3 of my daughters jacket her stanley cup and blanket and sheet . when i approached them about it they asked well was her name on it . I said yes her name is on everything! and nobody knows where her stuff is at . Having anything labeled doesn’t mean anything they have sent my daughter home with other kids belongings numerous times . One director gave out personal information about my kid to somebody before verifying who they were all because they called and said it was her dad they didn’t check the list or anything if it wasn’t for the billing department calling me i wouldn’t have known
We love The Nest! Our daughter has been going there for a year and a half, and we have loved our experience. I think all you need to know is how happy and excited she is to walk in the doors every day. If that doesn't tell you how great it is there, I don't know what will. Her teachers are super nice and communicative. They clearly love all the kids and treat them very well. They do tons of activities and give us updates in the app that they use. Miss Diamond runs a tight shop and is always present and attentive. We definitely recommend the Nest!
The staff communicates very well. The staff is very thorough. I feel safe leaving my child in their hands. My child is always excited to walk through the doors. I love the family and community engagement as well. The Nest focuses on the whole child. They provide learning opportunities for parents to explore a plethora of topics regarding health and habits. These learning opportunities are taught by experts. Parents are also well informed through the app, social media, weekly newsletters and also the monthly newsletter. We absolutely love The Nest at Shaker Heights!
I send both of my kids to The Nest, and they love all the teachers as much as I do. To offer an example, my youngest is just starting to pick up words and he learned to say his favorite teacher's name, Rae, before he said Mommy. You might think this would make me sad, but it's quite the opposite. It brings me so much joy to know that my little one is surrounded by people he loves and feels safe with all day long. The Nest truly feels like an extension of our family.
