Our son has been a Lanier Lullabies kid for over a year now, and we absolutely love this organization. The owner, Julie, is professional, organized, and incredibly kind, and every single member of the teaching staff is skilled, caring, and attentive. When you walk into Lanier Lullabies, you feel like your child (and, frankly your whole family) is part of a supportive and welcoming community. We particularly love how much emphasis Lanier Lullabies puts on outside time and exploratory play, as well as how much Spanish language exposure our son is getting daily. We could not recommend this daycare enough.
We’ve had our daughter at Lanier Lullabies for about a month now, and I could not be happier with our experience. Like many parents, I was nervous about daycare — especially starting earlier than planned — but the teachers have been so loving, nurturing, and reliable. They truly go above and beyond to accommodate parents’ wishes and have been incredibly mindful of our preferences and of my daughter’s dairy allergy, which gave me real peace of mind. What makes Lanier Lullabies stand out is the small 3:1 infant/teacher ratio (unlike any other DC daycare we toured), the bilingual Spanish environment, and the emphasis on outdoor time — they go out daily, even in winter when it’s sunny and above 35°F. The curriculum is gentle, nature-based, and really well thought out. Most importantly, my 15-month-old is happy, thriving, and excited to go each day. We feel lucky to have found this wonderful community through another mom’s recommendation, and I would highly recommend Lanier Lullabies to any family looking for high-quality, caring childcare.
We would highly recommend Lanier Lullabies - Julie and her staff are incredibly thoughtful, loving, communicative, and professional. Very attentive to Covid-19 precautions as well. This is the main location near Kalorama with multiple age groups, and there is an additional home daycare on Lanier Place.
I can't recommend Lanier Lullabies enough. The owner Julie and everyone who works there have been such kind and thoughtful caregivers.
