Always willing to help when possible. I have encountered one or two not so friendly workers there. Theh are rude, just very to the point. If you ever have a need to use the pantry, they give meats, canned goods, milk, snacks, and other items usually.
Short waiting time.they are prompt and curtious.they help with all sorts of things depending on the time of year.right now they are helping with H.E.A.P and winterization.
Lancaster Fairfield Community Action is great for those low income families that need assistance with housing food or just smaller needs but they DO NOT HAVE A CARS PROGRAM!! WHEN I CALLED TO SEE IF THEY HAD OFFERED ANY SORT OF ASSISTANCE WITH GETTING A VEHICLE THEY ASSURED ME THEY DO NOT HAVE FUNDING FOR THAT!
Great place! They helped me with Christmas for me Daughter. Without them she wouldn't have had anything. I know is not about the gifts. But seeing her little face opening them up was amazing!
If I was able to give them no stars I would. Everything was going smoothly with me trying to get rental assistance. Turned in all my documents and income in the beginning of April so I can try to get my May rent paid. I called every day trying to get the status on if they was going to pay or not. NEVER got a call back. On May 1st they decided to call me and say that my application was denied. I was so pissed. Not at the fact they denied my application but, for the fact that they waited until the day that my May rent was due. They could have told me weeks before that my income was not going to be able to sustain for the following months. Then I asked for other resources and they said they had none. I will never come back to ask them for help again. They showed no compassion for telling me on the day my rent was due. None whatsoever.
