I have had the pleasure of sending my daughter to Lakeshore Schools (Andersonville Location) since she was 6 months old. The staff at this location goes above and beyond to make learning hands on, developmentally appropriate, and ensure a safe environment for all. They have exceptional communication and will go above and beyond to make sure parents can trust, feel heard and respected at all times. Lakeshore does a great job of building strong community relationships with weekend/weekday activities for families! They also incorporates music into the curriculum with Mr. Ray. This has been an amazing experience for my daughter! He allows students to experience fine/gross motor skills through dancing, exposes vocabulary and makes music so fun for the kids even babies! My daughter adores him! I would recommend this day care to any and all families! P.S -- I am a parent that trusts very little people with my child. So this review says a lot! :)
My daughter Natalia absolutely loves her music class with Mr. Ray! He has a wonderful way of connecting with the kids—patient, upbeat, and genuinely passionate about teaching. I’ve seen Natalia come home excited to sing new songs and show me everything she learned. Mr. Ray creates such a fun and positive environment, and it’s clear he truly cares about each child’s growth and confidence. We’re so grateful for the joy he brings to the classroom every week! Highly recommend!
I’m so grateful for how responsive and supportive the Lakeshore team has been. They went above and beyond to get my daughter enrolled quickly and made sure the process worked for our family. Anytime I had concerns, they addressed them promptly and found thoughtful solutions that worked for both the daycare and admin team. As a graduate student studying Early Childhood Education, they even welcomed me to intern on-site, which meant the world to me. I felt genuinely embraced by their staff from day one. Communication is consistent and thorough, especially through the Tadpoles app, and I love how committed they are to keeping parents engaged and connected. Their dedication to community outreach, parent involvement, and supporting both children and families shines through in everything they do. We feel truly cared for here.
Our now 4-year-old daughter, Ellie, is wrapping up her time at Lake Shore, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the wonderful experience she’s had from the very start. From the moment we enrolled—right in the middle of the pandemic—the team at Lake Shore has been incredibly supportive, even offering to extend care to our other daughter when we needed it most. Their communication has always been clear and thoughtful, which gave us great peace of mind. One of the things that truly set Lake Shore apart for us was the enriching music program. Ellie developed a special bond with the music department, led by the talented Ray Hogan—known affectionately as “Mr. Ray.” His passion and care left a lasting impression on our daughter and made music one of the highlights of her day. We’re so thankful for everything Lake Shore has done for our family. It’s bittersweet to be moving on, but we’ll always look back on these years with appreciation and fond memories.
My two children have gone to Lake Shore Schools from infant daycare through Pre-K, and we all have had an amazing experience. The staff, from the front desk to the teachers, are friendly, thoughtful and engaged. They know your name and your children as individuals, and all of the educators are skilled, loving and attentive. It’s been heartwarming to see my kids grow up at LSS, and I’m happy to have shared that experience with their wonderful teachers. Special shout out to Mr. Ray, the music director for Lake Shore Schools and Tiny Giants, who shines as an educator and a musician. My kids have learned valuable lessons through his original songs, while also learning about various instruments, elements of music, and self expression. We parents also love catching a Mr. Ray performance throughout the year, and I appreciate how some of the songs are to the tune of some familiar punk/emo songs that the adults will recognize! Thank you Lake Shore Schools and Mr. Ray for 4 years of fun, growth and community 💕
