Great church this church is very busy very active in the community. I take a class and creative writing associated with University of South Florida's lifelong learning osher and they have other classes in learning German and a few other classes right there in the church in the meeting rooms and it's exciting to see this church involved so heavily and what's going on in and around the community here they have a food pantry which is stocked with nothing but good food for people who needed the most. I recommend this church for anybody that's looking for a place to serve and worship in fullness.
Is a great place to visit they have Outreach Ministry food pantry I think they mean well but sometimes lady Magdalene the church reminds you of old Tampa 1965 not a good place for black people but nevertheless it drives to change its overall demeanor. I think the church prefers old settled people versus new and imaginative people that are revisionist. They don't want revolutionaries like myself they prefer Archie Bunker types therefore I know and I will not be attending church at this location but I do like what they try to do and that's all you can do is try to be better but not in my lifetime will I ever become a member of this conservative Church
Great church! Pastor Brent and Pastor Steve are great. Loving family congregation. Plenty of choices of groups to attend. Wednesday night dinner are always great. Cub Scout Pack 217 meets on Tuesdays. And Boy Scout Troop 217 meets on Mondays. Thank you Marta for making a dynamic children's church.
Their profitable yet untaxed childcare business traffic clogs up the northeast exit for all original Carrollwood because they refuse to route all their traffic through their own parking lot on Fletcher. It's hard enough making a left onto Fletcher from Paddock because of the high-speed, high volume traffic, but adding the church's business traffic, too, is inconsiderate. When I suggested to Pastor Steven that he ask parents to use the church's exits on Fletcher, he responded: "The church was here first." Nice. But not surprising. I expect nothing more from a man who has/had his own name in lights in front of the church rather than Jesus's. Many years ago, when I was looking for another church, I visited. The people were not friendly. Pastor Stephen's service was all fundraising. I felt like I was just a cash cow. One day, their Xmas tree vendor dumped a huge black plastic bag of trash in my front yard, so I called to get someone to pick it up. (Trash haulers won't pick up bags of trash.) I left messages on a couple of different extensions. I heard nothing for 5 days. It wasn't until I posted a sign telling the neighbors who's trash it was that pastor Stephen called me. He was more upset about my sign than about the fact that the church's vendor threw trash in my front yard. No apology, just a list of the many ways I was inconveniencing him. (I didn't give him a date or time for the pickup.) He was upset because he had to pick it up on a night where he was taking his wife out for her birthday. Just say No to this place. PS They finally blocked off the dangerous parking by Fletcher. I said it was dangerous to drivers turning onto Paddock off of 5-lane Fletcher at speed, only to need to slam the brakes to avoid a church member backing out. Nothing changed for months, but I think a lawyer might have talked to him about liability now that he was warned publicly.
Great church great outreach program they are uniquely positioned to serve the community in a way that my church in Atlanta. Cascade United Methodist Church in southwest Atlanta. I would feel at home at this church but I realize I'm in Tampa Florida and the twain shall never meet but is church service at community and I'm impressed with the fact I said they do it naturally.
