About 3 weeks ago my mother in law broke her foot which forced me to put my 22 month old in daycare. I looked everywhere for the right fit for my precious baby girl and found it in Lake Dow Academy. From the moment I entered I felt like I was family and not just another parent. I was able to meet both teachers Mrs. Stephanie and Mrs. Emily that day and could feel how much they both loved the kids and their job. After that I knew this was the one. The next more I called to ask a few additional questions and had them all answered without hesitation which made me feel even more comfortable. It has been 3 weeks now and I still feel the exact same way I did the first day. Mrs. Stephanie has made me feel so comfortable and at ease when I needed it the most. She goes out of her way to make sure I am ok as well as my daughter. I cannot tell you enough how thankful I am for every single person that I have come in contact with here. This is not just a day care it is like dropping the kids off at grandma's house. Thank you all for making us feel special. I HIGHLY recommend this facility.
I’ve known Michelle and Rick for over 20 years. Our children went to school at Lake Dow Academy in their first years in business. I’ve recommended people for years and NEVER once heard a bad thing about them. Actually I’ve only heard people praise them and say thank you. Don’t let one bad apple with a twisted one sided story ruin your opinion of them or their day care. They are truly amazing people and have your child’s best interest at heart. My daughter had never been to daycare before. Only watched by family members, so I was very leery about sending her to daycare/prek. I must say that she adjusted extremely well. The staff is very loving and caring, yet firm. I couldn't be more happy with the cleanliness of the facility. It is well kept and very clean. My daughter loves going to school. She has learned many social skills that I couldn't provide myself at home. She has many friends and has learned to play well with them. They have also taught her other academic subjects. I am thrilled with Lake Dow Children's Academy.
We moved from another daycare in Mcdonough to Lake DOW and fell completely in love with them.. my daughter attended pre-k 4 for 2 yrs and my son attended the 3 yr old class.. we love Mrs. Peggy and Mrs. Phyllis ... we also had the pleasure of having Mrs. Deandre, Mrs Stephanie and Mrs Kaylee.. never once had an issue and my kids enjoyed going.. I even got pictures throughout the day letting me know how they were doing.. it was a great move for us.. I still recommend them till this day. They must be doing something right because they had a waiting list to get in!! So thank you for the many great years we had there !!
Went here when I was little and absolutely loved it. Always felt loved and safe with Mrs. Michelle and Mr. Rick. My little sister went here to and always had a smile on her face and a funny story to tell us at the end of the day. I recommend this daycare all the time to my friends in Henry co.
