My son attended this school recently and we thought we found him the perfect situation. He was slowly becoming comfortable in a school environment, although he did struggle at times since it was all very new to him. At the beginning of November my wife and I were expecting our 2nd baby in which we shared with the teachers as well as the front office staff. Everyone was very aware that our son would experience some setbacks as his life was going to be changing at home. The week we were in the hospital I tried my very best to accommodate the school knowing my son would be having a hard time with his parents not at home with him. I offered to pick up my son early, as well as ask constantly what I could do to help even though we would be in the hospital. The entire week my son had rough days at school in which the main concern was him running out of the classroom. I apologized everyday and repeatedly asked what I could do to help. No one seemed to have an answer or showed any interest in finding a solution. The day we returned home from the hospital with our newborn (as well as my wife coming out of a C section) the front office lady (Maggie) had informed us that we would need to find a new school. I was absolutely shocked at the fact that there was no attempt by the school to help us find a solution, or have any type of sympathy for our situation. We were not given a meeting or a warning. Instead, a Goodluck you are out of here this week. Having to find my son a new pre school with a 4 day old baby, and a wife right out of surgery wasn't exactly the homecoming we were expecting. We are very disappointed with the owners who had no desire to meet with us and instead had their front office lady deliver the bad news. If you feel your child will need any assistance getting acclimated to a pre school setting this is not the place for you. The student to teacher ratio exceeded the state law and there is no patience for anyone who may experience any struggles.
Totally in love with Lad N Lassie for our little energetic guy who just turned 14 months! The vibe here is just right for him - lots of fun, tons of friends his age, and teachers who are more like family. They've got this incredible knack for making every day an adventure, filled with learning and laughter. What really stands out are the adorable crafts he brings home. It’s not just about the art; it’s seeing his growth and joy in those little projects. It's clear the teachers put their hearts into not just looking after the kids, but helping them thrive and explore their creativity. If you're on the hunt for a daycare where your child can let loose, learn loads, and be loved, Lad N Lassie nails it. We feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this gem and can’t shout enough praises!
This school looks very sweet...it smells of cinnamon and apples, is painted sweetly with adorable pictures and scripture, and has decorations that match the theme of the month constantly up to date. I thought this would be the perfect preschool for my child. The staff is abhorrent. The office ladies(namely Cindy and Maggie) have an unwarranted attitude on a daily basis. They are rude, disrespectful, and negative. Not only is the attitude completely unnecessary and in need of an overhaul, but they are terrible at bookkeeping as well. On multiple occasions I had to prove payment for the week with my receipt. Not only was I embarrassed in front of other parents in the sign out area of the office for non-payment, but when I produced my receipt, they didn't even apologize for their mistake and attitude! The good teachers(at least the ones that aren't the owner's daughter, granddaughter, etc.) are paid minimum wage and are constantly in fear of losing their jobs. They do not pay the teachers overtime and are not sympathetic when teachers have conflicts due to their own family's illnesses. This personnel at Lad n' Lassie does not have any child development training that is current. In one instance, a teacher kept my 4 year old child on timeout in the office for 2 1/2 hours without calling me. When I arrived to pick my child up, he was despondent, refusing to speak or look up at anyone...very unlike him. That was his last day at Lad n' Lassie. 2 1/2 hour on time out for a four year old for a restroom accident is abusive. If you are considering putting your child at Lad n' Lassie, please look elsewhere. I'm a professional educator myself, and kick myself for leaving my son at this school so long. It needs a complete overhaul...from administration to office staff to some teachers. Just awful. :(
I absolutely loved Lad'n'lassie while my son was enrolled there. I put him in when he was 5 months till almost 2 years old. (pulled him out because we relocated). I felt very comfortable leaving him there with the teachers. Every time I dropped him off he literally JUMPED out of my arms to whatever teacher was in charge at the time, which as a mother made me feel good. every time I picked him up he was changed and all cleaned up. They taught and reinforced sign language which was something we had been doing at home. The only complaint I have is that we had few issues in regards to payments but besides that, at the end of the day, as parents we want the best for our CHILDREN, and they treated my son better than I could have imagined! I have recommended Lad'n'Lassie to a few of my friends and would recommend it to anybody. These bad reviews are ridiculous!
My 3 year old son absolutely LOVES this school as do I. They are very friendly and loving to the children. I not once had any issues. I am a struggling single mother and they were very accommodating to me and my son. I had my son in two other daycare's and he never liked them and would cry when he was there. At Lad N Lassie there was not a single complaint from him and he would ask everyday to go back to school as he called it. They are very reasonable in price, the cheapest I've come across. i also trust this school/daycare very much. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this lovely place to anyone and everyone who are looking for daycare!
