What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Lad 'n' Lassie for compassionate, attentive staff who provide individualized care and maintain strong communication with families. Children are reported to be happy, safe, and eager to attend, with staff going beyond typical daycare duties. The center is noted for reasonable pricing and flexibility with schedules.
Lad ‘n lassie daycare center has been like a second home for both my children. All the employees have shown and given compassionate care towards my children. The communication between teacher and parent has been clear, open and prompt. I never have to worry about the care my children are getting while at work. Which puts a mama’s heart at ease during the work day. All the teachers have helped with potty training, breaking the binky habit, and with any positive reinforcement behavior that we have been working with at home. One of my children is a very picky eater, Jen has always made sure my child has a full belly by offering things he does like. Again, puts a mama’s heart at ease. They both always look forward to coming.
My 4 kids absolutely love Lad & Lassie and Jen. When I drop off, my kids are greated with enthusiasm and smiles. I have to practically drag them out of the building when it's time to go home. The fact that they don't want to leave leaves me with peace of mind that they feel safe and happy when they are at daycare. Don't listen to the negative reviews, my experience with this daycare has been nothing but positive. I would definately recommend this daycare and in fact, have recommended it to many family and friends
My son has been attending this day care for three years and we are still going. All of the staff are amazing. Being a single mother this day care fits my schedule and my budget. All of the staff I feel go beyond their typical day care duties. Not to mention my son wears hearing aids and I have even taught a few of the staff how to help my son take them in and out, they even help my son with his homework. I would and do recommend this place to every one I encounter with.
This place and staff are amazing. My kiddo has been there for a few years and loves it. I feel my child is safe and loved by staff. She is cared for like I care for her at home. What a comfort to leave your kiddo in safe loving hands.
My three year old son spent two days here before they decided to not work with us anymore. They said he was essentially "too much" for them to deal with and they were frustrated that he wouldn't take a nap. They were also short staffed both days. The thing is, he's only three years old and he is brand new to daycare, an only child and desperately needs to socialize and get used to being around kids. I feel that some children may need more time to adapt to these types of life changes that they aren't used to. I think that we should have been given a couple of weeks rather than only a couple of days - of course not much is going to change before he is even given the chance to. I think that this was a major fail on this daycare's judgement. They let us go without giving any advance notice to finding any other daycare. They want children that are easy to work with because they want to have as many as possible, make more money and not deal with the more spirited children that need more time to settle in. While I am shocked that they made this decision so quickly, I focus on the fact that this will be a blessing in disguise and my son will receive the care that he deserves rather than being at a place that wants easy children in high numbers. If you decide to give this place a try, have a backup in mind in case they leave you high and dry. EDITED TO ADD: My son has since started another daycare and has been thriving there, taking naps, making friends and everything possible with NO PROBLEM. Lad N Lassie Day Care simply doesn't have the finesse or patience I guess.
