What Parents Say
LA PUENTE DISCOVERY CENTER receives mostly positive reviews praising caring staff, year-round availability, and strong parent communication. However, one parent raised serious concerns about portion sizes, supply management, child safety incidents, staffing levels, and educational quality.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this daycare. The teachers are genuinely caring and supportive, and they’ve quickly become like a second family to us. One of the most valuable aspects of this daycare is their commitment to being open year-round, with only a few holiday closures. As two working parents, this reliability has been essential for us. What stands out most is how dedicated and patient the staff has been in helping us with potty training. The teachers were incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, always maintaining a positive attitude and never once complaining about accidents. Their kindness and understanding have made a world of difference for our daughter. The daycare also fosters a wonderful sense of community with regular social events and constant communication between staff and parents. It’s evident that everyone who works there is deeply dedicated to nurturing and loving every child. We’ve watched our daughter blossom into a thoughtful, caring little person who knows how to treat others with respect and tolerance for differences. This daycare is more than just a place for childcare; it’s a place where children grow, learn, and are loved. We wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing environment that truly feels like a home away from home.
This daycare deserves 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ms. Lorena and her staff are the best out there. I have been taking my son here since he was 1y/o (infant class) and he is now 3. I recently had another baby and began taking him part time at 7 weeks old. My two boys love their teachers (Ms. Ceci, Ms. Yuleni, Ms. Joyce, Ms. Lisette, Ms. Cindy, to name a few) they are all amazing and have so much patience for all the littles. The daycare is always spotless and you can smell the fabuloso in the air. My boys always have fresh diapers every time I pick them up, even when I pick them up at random times of the day. Transitioning my boys from bottle to no bottle, sleep training in a crib and even self soothing to sleep alone on a cot. Making it easier to also transition them at home. One of my boys is always wanting snacks and I’m glad they allow the parents to bring extra snacks for their kiddos and they always let me know ahead of time when he’s running low. The daycare uses Class Dojo to share updates about the littles and to send reminders or monthly updates to all the parents. They also send you pictures videos and/or voice messages throughout the day, which make me feel a lot better while I’m at work. Leaps & bounds is like family to me and I couldn’t feel more safe leaving my boys here knowing they are in good hands. I highly recommend checking them out they’re definitely a one of kind daycare. *please don’t listen to any review older than 5 years down below*
The worst school ever!!! They only get 1 star because you have to put on to leave a review. First off they provide food but the portions are so small my son who is 2 was coming home crying he's hungry. 2ndly if your child wears pull ups or diapers you have to bring a pack I brought a pack of 30 my son goes to the bathroom and some how 30 pull ups were gone in 2wks so I decided to initial his next pack and I gave less and they didn't run out in over 2wks so that raises a eye brows were they putting them on other kids. Then my son ended up with 2 chipped teeth no one can tell me what happen nor did I get a phone call I picked up and notice it and all I got was maybe this and that happen a few days later a splinter then scratches under his eye. They have way too many kids and are under staff their director is on maternity leave and they failed to inform the parents so when I had a compliant I had to complain to the teacher about her self that didn't work for me. Plus its only a handful of teachers to all the kids ratio the teachers are running between watching the kids and playing director so I guess that's how my child got hurt and no one knew they were too busy.. Education is number one for me they basically did daycare things instead if preschool he played all day instead of learning he couldn't repeat anything he learn just some bad words he learned in Spanish and he told me they watch movies and play. My child's safety is number one so is education. Hopefully they do better in the future but my child won't be the guinea pig until they figure it out.
There's no one to help you in the counter. I drop off my grand babies n with everything you have to sign in you could use a little help plus they don't advertise their location its hard to find
