What Parents Say
La Petite Academy/Bothell receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with parents praising staff care, child development, and outdoor activities. However, one parent reported chronic understaffing issues and last-minute closure notices that disrupted work schedules.
First off, I'm overflowing with gratitude for the exceptional care my 15-month-old daughter has received at La Petite Academy in Millcreek. From the moment we enrolled her at 6 months old, we've felt like part of the family. The staff's love, attention, and dedication to her well-being are truly remarkable. I appreciate the regular updates on her daily activities, meals, and diaper changes. The video footage and detailed reports keep me informed and involved in her care. It's clear that the staff genuinely cares about each child and prioritizes their development. Of course, no workplace is perfect, and changes like new directors can bring minor setbacks. However, La Petite Academy has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence. Despite these normal adjustments, they've maintained an exceptional level of care. The property itself is clean and organized, creating a comfortable environment for the children. I appreciate the attention to detail in maintaining a clutter-free space that prioritizes the children's well-being. My daughter feels safe and happy here, and that's priceless. One of the highlights of our experience has been the special bond my daughter has formed with certain staff members. Jennifer, although not her toddler teacher, has spent quality time with my daughter and has become someone she adores. Rowan, her actual toddler teacher, has been incredible in her care and teaching. Both of them have shown such patience, kindness, and creativity that make drop-offs a breeze. My daughter thrives under their care, and it's amazing to see her grow and learn. I also love the playground and outdoor play areas in the back, which are perfectly set up for children of different ages. The kids absolutely love spending time outside, and it's wonderful to see them explore and play in a safe and well-designed environment. This attention to detail and commitment to outdoor play is just one more example of the exceptional care provided by La Petite Academy. What impresses me most is her rapid progress. She's speaking at a level beyond her age, and her development is truly remarkable. I'm grateful for the nurturing environment and educational activities that have helped her grow. If you're looking for a daycare that feels like home, I wholeheartedly recommend La Petite Academy. Their dedication to providing exceptional care is evident in every aspect of their operation. We're so grateful for this experience and the love and care they've shown our daughter.
I am so happy with the experiences my niece/nephew has had at this center with Munne Begum! From the moment we walked in, Munne and the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. The teachers are kind, patient, and truly care about each child’s learning and development. They create a warm and safe environment where children feel confident to explore, play, and grow. I have seen so much improvement in my child’s social skills, creativity, and independence since joining this center. The activities are thoughtfully planned and engaging, and Munne takes the time to connect with each child individually, noticing their unique strengths and interests. Communication with families is excellent, and I always feel informed and included in my child’s learning journey. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking for a nurturing, supportive, and enriching place for their child. It’s clear that Munne and the staff are passionate about what they do, and it shows in the happiness and progress of every child.
My child absolutely loves coming to this center! My friend works there, and I can see how much care and attention she gives to every child. Since joining, my little one has grown so much—learning new skills, making friends, and gaining confidence in trying new activities. The teachers make learning fun and engaging, and they really pay attention to each child’s needs and interests. It’s wonderful to see my child excited to explore, play, and learn every day. I highly recommend this center to families who want a supportive, safe, and happy place for their children to grow!
My child absolutely loves the outdoor activities at this center! Every day offers new opportunities to explore, play, and learn outside in a safe and engaging environment. The teachers create fun and educational experiences, whether it’s running, climbing, playing games, gardening, or exploring nature. I’ve noticed how much my child’s confidence, coordination, and social skills have grown from these outdoor activities. It’s wonderful to see the children encouraged to be curious and active, learning about the world around them while having so much fun. The staff ensures that every child is included, supported, and engaged, making outdoor play a positive and meaningful experience. I also appreciate how the center emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity during outdoor time. I highly recommend this center to families who want their children to enjoy safe, enriching, and exciting outdoor activities while developing important skills and a love for learning. It’s clear that the teachers put a lot of thought and care into every outdoor experience!
We were happy with La Petite in Mill Creek for a while, but things have really gone downhill since Miss Madhuri became the director. What used to feel like a caring, supportive environment has turned into a money-driven business that clearly puts profits over people. Since she took over, some of the long-time, amazing staff have left, the hours have been changed, and it just doesn’t feel like the same place anymore. Our final straw was being charged the full-time rate of $402 instead of the part-time rate of $281, just because we went 36 minutes over the 5-hour limit across two days, 20 minutes one day, 16 the next. The contract we signed clearly stated there would be a $15 fee for every 15 minutes we went over, which we were totally prepared to pay that. But instead, we were slapped with a full-time rate we never agreed to. That’s a clear breach of contract. When we brought this up, Miss Madhuri refused to even have a real conversation. She called us just to say “I’m right. I’m 100% right” over and over, and wouldn’t provide any way to contact someone above her. No email, no phone number — just her word that she was right and that was the end of it. It’s this kind of attitude (where she can never admit fault) that ultimately made us pull our son out earlier than we’d planned. It’s frustrating and honestly pretty insulting to be treated like that by someone who’s supposed to be leading a center that cares about families. The “summer camps” are another joke. Parents are charged extra, but nothing new or special is offered, and if there is, Miss Madhuri doesn’t facilitate or organize any of it. It’s the teachers who do all the work, and it shows. If there was any reason we stayed as long as we did, it was because of the amazing teachers: Miss Jennifer, Miss Maggie, Miss Jamie, Miss Sudatta, Miss Daisy, and Miss Rawan. They were the only ones who made the place worth the money. They genuinely cared and gave our son a positive experience, despite the management issues. We really wish he could have at least finished up this week so he had time to say goodbye to them as he really did love them. At the end of the day, this center is no longer what it used to be. Under current leadership, it feels like policies are made up as they go, communication is non-existent, and families are treated like dollar signs. If you want transparency, consistency, and actual care, I’d look elsewhere.
