Choosing childcare for your children is one of the biggest decisions a parent can make, and we feel incredibly blessed to have found at La Petite Academy in Snellville. Ms. Susan Jervey and Ms. Genacia Drakes have cared for our infant daughter and preschool son with such professionalism, patience, and genuine love. As parents, there is no greater comfort than knowing your children are not just supervised, but truly cared for — and that’s exactly what they provide. They are attentive to every detail with our infant and have been wonderful in helping our preschooler grow academically and socially. The communication, consistency, and warmth they show every day give us complete confidence and peace of mind. We are beyond thankful for the impact they’ve had on our children and our family. We wholeheartedly recommend them to any parent seeking a safe, nurturing, and high-quality childcare experience.

My son started on 1/6/26. The director Ms.Kim has been very helpful and very involved. My son has been at home for the first 2yrs so I was very nervous about taking him to childcare. Ms.Kim has made this transition very comfortable and easy. This center is very flexible and offers many options I also like that they have camera access for the parents. My son is in the toddler class with Guadalupe and she is amazing! Very attentive to the kids, very mindful of any concerns I have and she remembers what you tell her. She responds to msgs when sent and overall from watching the camera she’s great with all the kids she interacts with them and keeps them engaged . She’s on top of diaper changing making sure kids have their coats when going outside and when I pick my son up she always follows up with me about his day. I hate that he will be 2 soon because I would love for him to stay in her class!

I toured this facility in hopes this would be a great fit for my 13 month old. However I tour the toddler classroom and my son immediately fit right in. My baby is a loving boy. Comes from a loving home. He had a toy and a little girl snatched it from him and pushed him down and that caused my son to bump his head on a shelf. My natural instinct was to run to my babies rescue but I wanted to see how the director and teacher was going to handle the situation. The teacher didn’t redirect the student nor did she comfort my baby. The director stated their toddlers, that’s what they do. I get that part but being the little girl was a big 2 year old.. something should’ve been done immediately. I just didn’t feel my child’s safety would be top priority here.

I previously took a tour of their facility on January 15, 2025, and felt like it was a decent place… cameras were down at that moment but was assured that it would be worked on. My child fit in immediately during the tour — he ran off and played around a bit while I asked my questions and etc. That day I left my info and was told I was placed on a “waiting list” and someone will reach out later with more information. Fast forward to June 2nd at 2:48PM, I received a call while at work and missed it, so she (Candace) left a voicemail asking if I was still interested in the GA Pre-K program. I returned that call today, June 17th at 1:38PM to request some information about their program and what steps I needed to take to move forward with an application. I did not grab the name of the lady who I was speaking to, but she sounded like a middle-aged woman. She told got my child’s name and put me on hold. When she returned she said “yeah so we reached out to you in May…. And you’re just now getting back to us…?….??..” and she sarcastically chuckled. I said “uh, ok?” . Then she proceeded to say “yeah, she called you in MAY” *chuckles even more & harder* . I said “I don’t even know why you felt the need to say that, but I have a life and things happen?????” And immediately hung up. It actually wasn’t until now that I realized how late THEY were in reaching back out to me when I went back to my email to grab the date of my tour yet she felt like she needed to blast me about reaching back out 15 days later.. further more she was INCORRECT, they did NOT reach out to me in May, they reached out to me in JUNE. I also do not owe anybody an explanation to anybody about what I do and when I do things, especially as a parent let alone a WORKING PARENT (being a parent itself is a full time job and we all get busy!) . Also, I actually had some things going on… again.. I DONT OWE YOU AN EXPLANATION ABOUT THAT. I am amused at the very least at her lack of professionalism, kindness, and especially EMPATHY. She is a front desk receptionist of a childcare center where she herself is at work taking care of other people’s children who also probably are working too, right? I am reluctant enough about sending my child to the care of someone who I do not know, I have heard so many horrible stories about terrible childcare, so this experience that I had today on the phone definitely did NOT ease me not one bit. Seriously, whoever she was needs to do some SERIOUS training and retraining on professionalism because that is not how you speak to people! I simply was requesting information (of which she didn’t even have, she told me that I will have to speak to someone else for that info and that said person is on lunch), I was in no way complaining about THEIR own lack of timeliness on communication. I have no idea why she thought it was ok to speak to me on the phone like that. Very disrespectful!! And no she did not call me back and I’m not expecting one!! I’m at the age where I leave reviews for future parents who might be looking for a respectable, dependable, and trusting place to send their child. Please look for another place!! This is not it.
