Our family has been with La Petite Academy for four years, and we couldn’t be happier. From day one, we have felt completely safe and confident leaving our child in their care. La Petite is an incredible learning center for kids - My family moved my then 2.5 year old to La Petite several years ago from another very well reviewed childcare facility in Lexington after a few instances of feeling like he was not receiving the best care. Immediately upon moving to La Petite I was impressed by several things - the security of the building, the cleanliness of the entire facility, the quality of the food served, the constant updates throughout the day and the genuine joy on teachers' faces. And, the director demonstrates genuine openness to hearing parents concerns and addressing them. Each day I was 100% confident that my son was not just being fully cared for in a safe and clean environment, but was learning SO much. The knowledge he came home with was incredible! I experienced the Twos, Early Preschool, and Pre-K rooms. He graduated about 10 months ago but it was the first place we looked for for our infant that we now need care for. Given the waitlist, we explored some other options and were reminded just how incredible La Petite is when compared to other facilities in Lexington. We've just completed the infant orientation and the cleanliness of the infant room is top-notch (another facility we toured did not even have adults wearing booties on their shoes in the infant room where numerous babies were crawling around and putting things in their mouth...), the high standards with which they care for storage of breastmilk, and the catering to parent-led schedules for feeding and sleeping. We also learned one of the infant teachers has been in the room for many many years. I'm so glad we waited to get our spot because we were not disappointed.
We absolutely love La Petite! We started there 5 years ago, and they have exceeded our expectations in more ways than we can count! The quality of care the kids receive is incredible. There is unlimited camera access which is extremely comforting, but I rarely ever check it. The staff feels like family, and I can truly see how much they care for all the children. The curriculum and teachers prepare them for Kindergarten beyond what you could ever imagine. My 2 oldest sons are thriving in elementary school and a lot of that credit is due to La Petite! My 2 youngest attend there now and I couldn’t picture them anywhere else. The quality is unmatched!
GREAT CARE, CLEAN, AMAZING STAFF We moved our daughter from a childcare facility just a street over and we are SO HAPPY with her care at La Petite. Something that stood out to us was how many long-time staff members there were. Everyone we’ve had the pleasure to meet here has been dedicated and really cared. Teachers in different rooms even know my kid. That says a lot to me. The app is regularly used and used well. They always have adequate staff for number of kids (La Petite maintains ratios beyond what our prior center did). Even in the Twos classroom, they have “curriculum” and fun activities for the kids each day. There is NEVER screen time for the kids and I love that! My daughter is happy. We are happy. I can’t imagine my child attending anywhere else.
You absolutely get what you pay for at La Petite. The center is thoroughly clean, security is tight, and the staff are amazing. Rachel and Christie take care of everything and care so much about each individual child that comes through the doors! They are very picky about ensuring they have only the best staff/ teachers and having the cameras provide such peace of mind! Staff turn over is not a concern and some individuals have been there well over a decade which provides such stability for the kids and creates a close nit community! I definitely recommend!
