We have been very happy with La Petite's care for our daughter. She has been in the infant classroom with Ms. Shelley for about five months now, since she was 5 months old, and she is usually excited to be dropped off to see her teachers and friends! The solids program is great; I think she eats better at daycare than she does at home. The room is clean. The babies have lots of toys to explore, and they listen to a lot of music. Ms. Shelley is starting to prep my daughter to move to the 1-year-old room. I'm glad to have her take the reins there so it's a smooth transition! Also, the price is very reasonable for the ratio of babies to adults. I recommend this daycare!
My son has been in the infants room for a few months now and we have been very happy with the care and attention that the staff has shown our son. As first time parents, it is really great to have all of the updates throughout the day and to be able to check in on him anytime. We are especially grateful to Ms. Shelley for proactively bringing up a health concern she noticed that we were able to get checked out early by our pediatrician. We feel very comfortable leaving our son in La Petite’s capable hands during the day. Our interactions will all of the people at this location have been great!
Our son started at La Petite a few weeks ago and we have been very pleased with his care. Ms. Shelley in the infant room has been very helpful with our son’s adjustment to daycare. Overall all the staff had been very welcoming and responsive!
My daughter has been going to La Petite for over 18 months There has been a lot of transition and turnover in the last 6 months, and I do think the new Director (Ms Qua) is moving us in the right direction. She has only been here for a few months and in that time we’ve hired more staff, enrollment is up, and communication is way better and consistent. I love hearing her vision of the center for the next 6-12 months and the fact that she has been able to bring staff from her other places speaks to her leadership The Assistant Director (Ms Shawntae) is amazing and cares so much for the kids and Ms Shelley is one of our fav teachers we’ve ever had! So thoughtful and welcoming I’ve never been nervous or scared to send my daughter and I’ve never felt that she was unsafe If you’re looking in the South Durham area for childcare don’t trust reviews that are 6+ months old and check it out yourself! The picture is from a few Friday’s ago when Ms Qua did an impromptu bubble party on a Friday afternoon and the kids LOVED it!
Deamber is so good with the kids. Anytime I need to communicate about my child she responds in a reasonable amount of time. She understands that not all kids learn the same so sometimes you have to teach them differently & thats one of the many things I appreciate about her. We love Ms De!
