La Fitness Kids Klub @ Buford

Filthy. Rusted machines. Dirt on the floor gathered at the foot of the machines. Handles wrapped with duct tape. Black mold on the ceiling tiles around the AC ducts. LA Fitness has seemed to get too big to maintain their gyms. I just canceled and went to Crunch. They have exactly ZERO of these problems. Clean as a whistle and $10 cheaper for the top tier membership.

I’ve been coming to La fitness for the last 3-4 years and recently started coming to the Buford location. Typically an alright experience, but I came in this morning and a man at the front desk said he was glad to see me with pants on… and when I asked “what” he was trying to explain that I usually wear shorts… I wear shorts, leggings, sweats often so I don’t understand this strange comment since most women wear shorts, leggings, and other sorts of pants to work out. All I said was good morning and that was the creepy response I got from a man who’s older than my own father. I do like this other woman who works the front desk, she’s always very nice and welcoming when I come in and doesn’t make comments about the way I dress :) I hope this behavior isn’t a regular occurrence and I hope it’s not acceptable at La Fitness. Edit: I was informed that this employee is no longer at this location. I appreciate all the staff here, especially Nathan and Natajze, for making sure I was comfortable at this location and apologizing for that experience. I’m glad I don’t have to switch gyms as I really enjoy working out here!

Natajzé Cooper is exceptional. She truly went above and beyond to help me. After speaking with several people and feeling stuck, she was the first person who genuinely listened and took the time to review my options. What stood out most was her follow-through. Even when she didn’t have an immediate answer, she was honest, set clear expectations, escalated my concerns, and kept every promise she made. Her daily calls to provide updates meant everything to me this level of communication and care is rare. She also gave thoughtful guidance, encouraging me to speak with staff in person when possible. Because of her advice, I connected with two additional team members at the gym who were able to help as well. Her consistency, professionalism, and compassion completely changed my experience. Because of her, I felt heard, supported, and respected. She honestly made me fall in love with LA Fitness again. She represents the brand at its very best, and LA Fitness is truly lucky to have her. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and meeting someone like Natajzé makes you appreciate the company even more.

I go to LA Fitness in Duluth, but I visited this gym because I'm moving to the area soon. It had more exercise equipment and far more people than the Duluth location, but overall, it was dirty. I mostly use the pool, which was generally old, and almost all the shower curtains had mold on them. While it was nice to have four lanes, one of them was used for swim lessons, and the pool water tasted slightly salty. Surprisingly, the whirlpool in the hot tub was so dirty bubbles that I couldn't stand to get in. I don't know if it's always like this or just today. Anyway, since children use the pool, I hope they pay special attention to the cleanliness and water quality of the pool.

Can’t recommend Natajze and Nathan enough. High quality customer service! I love the open space in this gym and the back cardio area with the stair masters and secluded training area is perfect for a great workout! The community in this gym is very supportive and friendly.
