What Parents Say
These reviews are for LA Fitness gym, not a daycare center. The reviews praise the facility's cleanliness, friendly staff (particularly Nicolas/Nick/Nic), equipment variety, and welcoming atmosphere. One reviewer noted maintenance issues with the basketball court and leg extension machines.
I started working out with a personal trainer since April 2025. I am very satisfied with my progress. And i am happy with my Trainer Kyle. So far i have lost 64 pounds. It’s a long journey, i am focusing every day to achieved my goals. I feel much better and i am so happy and proud. Keep pushing! Consistency is the key!
I've been going to this location for years. The front staff has always been pleasant. Lately though any time there is an issue with broke down equipment or parts of the gym that the customers like and use a lot, there is absolutely no urgency to fix the problem. The pool has been closed for going on two weeks. We were told there is a part that need to be replaced and it would be a day to fix. Every time we ask about it, they just say they're not sure (unacceptable). The basketball gym has been closed for some time now for repairs that never get done and today they had no hot water. I'm afraid it is turning into one of the inside the perimeter locations which are notoriously bad.
This gym has been a massive part of my fitness journey and I’ve seen amazing results. The staff is very laid back and friendly. The community of people that come to the gym are respectful, but they really really need to fix the basketball court. Been shut down since late October. Unacceptable. Part of what I pay for is to be able to play basketball and I haven’t been able to for months. On top of that one of the most popular machines, leg extensions, has been “closed for maintenance” for over a month now. There’s 2 of them but it’s probably the most popular machine in the gym so 2 is super necessary but now just one and always have to wait now. It’d absolutely insane they don’t just fix the things we pay to be able to use. I really want to give them 2 stars for this but I truly enjoy going there because I love working out and it’s right by my job so it is what it is. Please step it up guys
This is worst fitness center I have seen. People at reception are so rude and one of the lady called herself as manager of the center was so rude that and behaves like she is owner and doesn’t listen to the customer at all. I joined this center almost 7 months back and they never asked the id when I checked in. Suddenly she stated asking my Id after phone check in and I didn’t bring my id and she didn’t allow me to enter today. Very rude lady. Secondly I am observing for last few months that Alpharetta center is so dirty and I doubt that they clean it. All the machines are old and not maintained properly and see the Service Requested board on those. Restrooms and dressing rooms are wet and dirty all the time. They were always running out of sanitation paper and towels. I will not recommend this center at all. We are here for fitness, but center is not maintaining proper hygiene and relation with customer.
I was told to arrive ready to train, and was instead sat down at a desk, pressured to step onto a scale even when I asked not to, and had my body weight and fat discussed in front of other staff…all as I expressed my discomfort and anxiety about the process. I expressed anxiety many times, and was still ushered through a sales process that focused on my body weight and fat, without providing a meal or workout plan as promised. This would be distressing for many people, and was especially so for me recovering from disordered eating. In the communication about this free intro session, it was promised we’ll receive: “ 1. Meal plan 2. Customized workout for your goals 3. Body composition and measurements “ Both the first and second promises were not delivered. This was not a helpful session, and wasted of my time. When I arrived for the free intro session, I was told to go workout alone, then asked to sit through a sales session immediately post-workout when I was hungry, fatigued, and needing food. He said it wasn’t a car sales session, which is funny because that’s exactly how it felt. I’ve sought professionals for support who I’m actually happy to pay for; a personal trainer who specializes in strength training post-cervical spine injuries. In our session, I was given no confidence that the training would be adapted to my injury healing process, or to my mental health needs. Please, in future sessions, consider the emotional weight of what the people in front of you are experiencing.
