What Parents Say
KOFE INSTITUTE is a phlebotomy and CPT certification training program, not a daycare center. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive, with students praising the instructors, supportive staff, job placement assistance, and quick completion times. Most graduates report securing employment shortly after graduation.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Before starting the program, I was told that I could take the National as many times as I needed to. Then, after starting the program, Leah said that I could not take the exam as many times as I needed to. Further more she was gonna charge to take it one additional time and then kick me out of the program if I could not pass it a second time. If I would have know this up front, then that would be fine, however I was given incorrect information. She threatened to kick me out of the program multiple times with no refund because she didn't like my tone. Thank God I passed the Nationals on my first try. It would have been a bad situation and extra cost for an attorney had I been ripped off. The only good thing about this place is the instructor Tom. Also, everyone she has working for her besides the instructors are completely incompetent. From my experience it would be very easy to get ripped off at this place. I would seriously research other schools because Leah is very special kind of person.
Ok school wise, the work is easy. They teach you the bare minimum. But when you get out there and get a job. Everybody has heard bad stuff about KOFE graduates. That the students suck at sticking and that they didn’t teach students enough. Don’t blame the instructor TOM. He goes above and beyond for his students, but doesn’t teach you enough to the point where when you go and get a job you feel lost and your employer and coworkers look at you crazy like if you’ve never heard of half of the basic stuff they knew when they were newbies. So if you want cheap and easy this is your place but don’t expect to get a job with their bad rep and learning the bare minimum. So unorganized. Total staff is like 2 or 3 people and the people that work there Need raises ! They are good people trying to work their best with what they are given. So I feel bad leaving a brutally honest review but it needed to be said. For all those trying to enroll here BEWARE. & don’t believe them when they say you can get certified in this amount of weeks (there is a fine print) it is going to be much longer than what you thought. Sticking is fun, but when you have enough supplies and when the owner of the institute isn’t being stingy with her students who paid good money for her to provide a good service to her students. All in all, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK...
I'm not sure why the last person had such a bad experience it sounds more personal to me. Well my experience was just fantastic Leah is awesome! Kevin the instructor is amazing his passion for the students and phlebotomy is why I never gave up. The course is not easy and the students(including myself) get frustrated but it takes determination and in the end it's all worth it! The administration Austin is so helpful everyone motivates each other to be successful. Thank you!
I am gonna be honest about this. Kofe institute is an amazing school to go for phlebotomy training. The instructor is amazing and he breaks it all down in ways you understand, takes time to make sure everyone is carried along and makes learning fun. The staff are awesome and i am glad i signed up for the program. i got hired on the spot at the clinic i did my externship at. Check out Kofe Institute people, you'll be glad you did.
I absolutely loved the Kofe Institute. Everyone was so professional. After graduation, I landed a job at one of the largest hospitals in the Valley making good money with benefits. Leah is stern but she will make sure you get a job after you graduate. She's serious about students getting jobs. Love it!
