Knowledge Beginnings

I have been a parent at Knowledge Beginnings in Laurel for 10 years, and across that decade, all three of my children have attended the center. From the very beginning, our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The teachers and staff have always provided a caring, structured, and supportive environment where my kids have truly thrived. Ms. Casey and Ms. Alisa have been especially wonderful with my youngest daughter—she genuinely comes to school for them. Their warmth, patience, and consistent encouragement have made her feel seen, loved, and excited to learn every day. I also want to highlight Caleigh and Kita, who have been incredible in their support and communication. Their professionalism and kindness shine through, and as a parent, that means everything. Knowledge Beginnings has become more than just a childcare center for us—it has been a trusted, safe, and joyful place for my children to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. After 10 years and three kids, I can confidently say this is a center that leads with heart, commitment, and genuine care. Highly recommend!

Phenomenally excellent center. My grandson has been a student for almost a year now. I pick him up every Wednesday afternoon for grandad play time. I am also on the email list which gives me access to multiple pictures and videos of his daily activities. I am very impressed with the center and its staff. From the front desk to his room, to staff members you ran into walking around, every one is friendly and accommodating. Miss Lei, lead instructor in his room, clearly loves my grandson. The extensive number of learning activities offered is quite impressive. It is amazing how much my grandson retains and emulates when we follow up on the activities. The variety of play activities and socialization opportunities is remarkable. My grandson’s progress is impressive. Knowledge Beginnings is a safe, friendly, nurturing environment .

My son has been here for 2 years and absolutely loves it. The communication from management and teachers alike is prompt, detailed and clear. I’m super happy we ended up at KB!

My children, 5 and 3, have been at Laurel KB for just over two years. Everyone there is extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. We've been happy with all of the teachers as well as the front desk and support staff. We get multiple updates per day about what our children are doing, which is comforting. This school also doesn't seem to have as bad of a teacher turnover problem as we experienced at a previous center.

Thanks to someone for finally speaking up about this. It's sad as parents when we don't feel empowered to speak up about what's actually going on inside childcare centers. So we can keep other parents away from experiencing this nightmare. I've had friends and family members that have told me about the nightmare staffing challenges at this center. At times they have told parents not to bring their kids to school because they have no staff. This is ridiculous as parents paying "tuition". While I recognize that some may think this is a corporate issue to resolve staffing, the culture that gets staff to stay, be highly engaged and provide high quality care is a day to day management issue, not a corporate issue. So the management and leadership practices of the onsite staff need to be examined.
