"🙏I want to express my gratitude to Kinsmen Lutheran CHurch🙌 for an unforgettable Ash Wednesday. The peace and spirituality felt in the temple was a true gift. I'll be back!"😊.
This congregation understands, follows, and exemplifies the real mission of the Christian faith. Not only are they welcoming, unjudging, kind, and helpful in their words, but they have a passion for helping the community around them. They are evangelical not by forcing uncomfortable conversations, but by getting out into the community and leading by example. They integrate and collaborate with charities and businesses in the area to have a presence and make an impact. They walk the walk and respectfully talk the talk. Kinsmen welcomes and encourages a critical mind regarding how we all interpret, internalize and act on the printed word of the Bible. They focus on the overall message, relate it to our modern lives and make the teachings actionable, regardless of your level of faith, background, demographic, etc. My family is in the process of becoming members. In many ways, we've been searching for a church community for over a decade, and I personally have never seen another congregation as welcoming and encouraging as this. We are very hopeful for our future with them.
Kinsmen Lutheran Church is more than a place of worship and praise, it is a community guided by God’s love that deeply touches all whom need grace in his or her life. My family and I are new members of the Kinsmen congregation, but for years before joining, Kinsmen was a part of our life. Our family first connected with the church through the fantastic Kinsmen Children’s Academy. I felt nerves about sending my little one to a church for a mother’s day out program. My nerves were quickly subdued when my child and my growing family were welcomed and cared for as if we were blood family. Four years later, all three of my children attend MDO, preschool & Camp Hope programs; and have inspired my husband and I to invigorate, rediscover faith in our life and family. Worship service may feel like a daunting task on a Sunday morning; at Kinsmen I feel lifted spirits that dampen any unrest. All are welcome, and encouraged, regardless of where you are in your faith journey. The leadership of the church relates messages of hope, grace, God’s love, that are relevant to modern life. The first worship service my husband & I attended together took both our breath away. Not only was the message about forgiveness in the context of family strife, we both thought and experienced the undeniable moment that we were receiving God’s word at exactly the time when we needed it most. Being a part of a service where everyone experiences the same poignant message and all have the same belief about praising this amazing life, grows my faith in God’s kingdom, and with my fellow brethren. The Kinsmen community is rooted in faith and relevant to life. God’s work through our hands is not just a one time Sunday event at Kinsmen Lutheran. One church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor is the blessing of this Lutheran church’s purpose. Please join our evangelical community through any of the ministries, worship services and experience grace and inspiration of God and Jesus Christ.
A super worship experience. Each service that is held keeps God number one and provides biblical instruction and principles. Plenty of diverse activities for all ages. Best church in Houston area!
From a videographer's perspective, the lack of maintenance of the ceiling-mounted lighting is a big problem. Most of the larger spot lights are now dead and have been for almost a year.
