We moved here over three years ago and started visiting Kingsway Christian Church in Germantown by Whole Foods last year. We are now members! The people and fellowship are great and very welcoming. The church offers various programs and activities throughout the year and is actively involved in the community. We have a great congregation with many different backgrounds and from various denominations. Our Pastor gives an amazing sermon every Sunday that is positive, enlightening, and intertwined with todays real life stories and some humor to deliver God’s message. The choir and its music is off the charts! I’m not a music person, but their singing is amazing, better than any I’ve heard in my 60 years. It’s as good as any orchestra I’ve heard. If you are looking for a church, new to the area, etc… please think about visiting us a few Sundays, enjoy and we would love to meet you! If your looking for a church that is not “big” that’s great because we have a small church feel and big hearts and while the church might look huge from the street it’s really not. The church is beautiful inside and outside. There were only maybe 30 worshippers present on the Sunday I attended. Those present were predominantly elderly, white men and women. I love that I felt I was in a church with the light pouring in from the large windows as opposed to the modern day churches that are dark and have many stage lights and hanging TV screens. I like that this church still produces a program for the service and congregation still sings hymnals together. The choir is good and sang standard hymns on this particular Sunday. Their pianist is fantastic. The young pastor had an inspirational message. This church still has a ceremonial prayer over communion and distributes it. I really like that since my modern day church skips the ceremonial part. This church experience is how I remember church when growing up in my parents' church. I was a visitor this Sunday. Service is at 10:30 am. It's nostalgic and I will most likely return. I recommend you visit!!! This might just be the church home you need and want!
Air conditioning not on in chapel for funeral. No one available to fix the problem. Fans were brought in, but still uncomfortable on an extremely hot and sad day!
They are doers of God's Word through a variety of missions including hosting Room In The Inn. They are great, warm folks with gracious hearts.
Emojis Oral School is located on their campus. It is an ableist school intent on forcing Deaf children to hear instead of teaching them ASL. No christian should support this ableist and narrow minded behavior.
