What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise JCC Brooklyn at Windsor Terrace for its caring, experienced teachers, progressive child-led curriculum, and well-maintained facilities. The program is noted for strong communication with families, diverse enrichment activities, frequent outdoor time, and a welcoming community atmosphere that appeals to families of all backgrounds.
Our daughter had attending JCC preschool at the Windsor Terrace location for the past 2 years and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Here teachers from last year and current year are kind, patient, creative, nurturing, compassionate and truly honor the child. Our daughter has a wonderful time full of authentic, joyful learning experiences. They take full advantage of the neighborhood by going on lots of field trips and having plenty of outside time in their privet back yard filled with toys. They also had outstanding enrichment classes - music with Yonatan (who is an idol at our house) dance, yoga, Spanish and speech classes. We couldn’t ask for a better first experience for our family.
My son loves JCC. He's done the summer camp the past two years. They do a good job communicating with families with email and whatsapp chats. The bus is very convenient and the activities they do with the kids are awesome. Every day, my son comes home with a smile and tells me the wonderful things they did that day. He raves about magicians, going in the pool and cooking classes. Thank you JCC for giving him a memorable summer.
I gave them over 4 months notice that I was pregnant with a second child and could no longer send my 2 year old to JCC's 2's program due to my family changes. They kept an entire 3900 dollar deposit and have never returned even a cent of it. This doesn't include the 300 dollar application fee that I swallowed. This feels unjust and honestly, a bit cruel. I recognize deposits are important but I even worked hard to ensure that the class my daughter was supposed to be in was filled, which it was. It's not like I hurt their program in ANY way. At this point, it just feels like theft? My daughter has never once stepped foot in JCC.
My son is in their 1's program and our whole family could not be happier. He has grown and developed so much thanks to Angela and Sam. They have taught him sign language, Spanish, and to say "please"!! Angela and Sam are so caring and loving to all the little ones -- it really feels like a community of friends for our son. The JCC is a fantastic program. I would recommend it to everyone.
My son has attended the JCC Brooklyn at Windsor Terrace for the last 3 years. The families we have met in his class have become our community. The space is great. They have a nice size room for each of the 3 classes and an outdoor space. They are also in walking distance of Prospect Park and take advantage of it. Their program falls under the progressive umbrella of early childhood education. All of the teachers are different and great. The Jewish component of the program is a plus. They partner with Tkiya to provide music twice a week (pre-pandemic) and my son has learned Hebrew words and a lot about the Jewish holidays. He loves going to school every day!
