What Parents Say
KinderCare Learning Centers in Sheboygan has received mixed reviews. Several parents praise the caring staff and positive experiences, while others report serious concerns including inadequate supervision, unsafe infant care practices, staffing shortages, inappropriate charging policies, and dismissive management.
Horrible daycare your child will not be safe in the care of kinder care at all everything is all about money nothing about your child growth or development. I can't even begin to list everything that's wrong with that place. But to illustrate, one staff member actually told me, without a hint of empathy, that she didn't care that my daughter was crying after falling on the floor. I was shocked by her callousness, yet she continues to work there. Despite my informing the director, there was no action taken. I felt I had no choice but to quit, prioritizing my daughter's safety and well-being above everything else, including my financial responsibilities. The possibility of eviction seemed a small price to pay to protect my child. It might not seem like a big deal to some, but I urge you to consider what it's like to be in my shoes."
I observed unsafe sleep practices and frequent overcrowding in the infant room. The state has rules about the infant to teacher ratio, so I became alarmed and raised concerns about the overcrowding but the director was dismissive. The final event was picking my baby up early and finding him face down in a pile of semi-dried spit up in an overcrowded room, next to a sleeping infant who's head was elevated on a crescent looking pillow/mat with their chin to their chest. I withdrew my baby immediately and reported what I saw. I would not recommend this daycare for infant care.
I wouldn’t even send my dog to a Kindercare, they raved and sold me this idea of a summer program, yet my kids sat inside most days. Water day was a sprinkler that they weren’t allowed to run through or they’d get yelled at. Always short staffed and getting called last minute that my kids couldn’t attend, but still got charged. How is it my fault that your teachers can’t show up? Better yet why is the director not stepping in and running the room for the day? On top of that I was told by my child she was asked to help change diapers after nap time…unacceptable, awful daycare. If you care about your kids send them elsewhere.
We cannot say enough about the awesome staff at KinderCare - they are great at what they do and obviously enjoy caring for children. Our son lights up every time he sees his teachers; there's no better endorsement!
I am very disappointed with this daycare. They seem to always be short staffed and send kids home BUT still charge for that day. They apparently do not give time outs but call and send them home and again charge for whole day. They think 3 year olds know how to be quiet and non-rambuctious. Lol he is 3! I do not recommend this place if you have active little ones.
