What Parents Say
Reviews are sharply divided. Several parents praise the caring staff and feel their children are safe, while others report serious safety concerns including allergic reaction incidents, unexplained injuries, lack of supervision, and poor management. Common complaints include lack of cameras, high staff turnover, and inattentive directors.
I have since spoken to KinderCare leadership about the issues we experienced, but I know when I was looking for a daycare, I scoured google reviews to hear from parents, so I wanted to share some details here as well. KinderCare Meadowbrook came highly recommended by a close friend, was super conveniently located to my job and affordable. We were there from January 2019 - July 2019 (7 months - 1 year old) and honestly I wish we wouldn't have made our daughter suffer that long. We had issues with them feeding my daughter food/milk she couldn't have (she has allergies) to her falling out of a chair at 9 months old (not sure why a 9 month old was sitting in a chair without being buckled in) to her clothes and bottles going home with other children. The clearly didn't pay very much attention to the children or really what was going on. When Rene gave me my child's "evaluation" that they have to complete, she put that she was excelling at walking, when in reality my child wasn't even crawling. It just proved that they were just filling out the forms with no regard to accuracy. The final straw came when I was told my daughter was fed yogurt (she has a severe dairy allergy which was documented with a doctors note). When I confronted Margaret and Rene about it, they told me that my doctors note "wasn't specific enough". Mind you the note from the doctor said that she "Couldn't have dairy in any form". We started looking for other options immediately. I saw some responses from KinderCare Customer Support that Rene is no longer at that location, but I know she wasn't the only person that wasn't doing right by the kids, so I hope that corporate has done more to rectify the situation. While we were on the wait-list for a different daycare, I ran into a former employee who had recently quit and she shared that she had to leave because she "couldn't stomach the way the kids were treated and all the shady and illegal things Rene was doing" She said wanted to tell me while she was there but was threatened with her job if she did and that I should get her out of there as soon as possible. I picked my daughter up that day and figured out alternative care for her until we had a spot at our new daycare. I hope KinderCare corporate takes a good hard look at what was going on at that location. I know it wouldn't have been highly recommenced to me if it wasn't good at one point, but clearly in the past few years things have gone downhill fast.
After using this daycare. I would strongly recommend another daycare. My son went there for 4 months. He had 7 incidents in 2 months and the directors and teachers had no clue why he had scratches on his face or injuries. They never even called me to inform me of his injuries. I had to wait to find out until i picked him. Thats only the 2 times they actually told me. They have no cameras and not enough good teachers working there. If you want your kids safe then stay away from this place.
We love our teachers, especially Ms. Elaine! They are all so caring and sweet to all the babies in our class(infant). My husband once forgot a car seat to pick up our son and one of the teachers let us use her spare. When I drop off my son everyday I feel completely at ease knowing that he is in the care of these fantastic ladies. We could seriously not ask for a better group. <3
This place is horrible! Management is rude and disrespectful. There were many days when my husband, mom, or I would drop my daughter off and the director(who is always SITTING) wouldn’t even bother speaking. They have a extremely high turnover rate. During our 6 months there my child had four different teachers. I was also told that because my child was so busy she was the reason the teachers kept quitting. I toured this place 3 times over the years and I should have gone with my instinct to stay away. I had used LaPetite for 10 years for my older 2 and was no longer pleased them. So I moved on hoping things would be better, sadly it was worse. I soon learned other parents had similar feelings Mrs.Elaine and Cindy were the only 2 I felt were passionate about their job. I would highly recommend you searching elsewhere they are not anything more than a well known name daycare full of babysitters. Businesses like this shouldn’t exist, robbing hardworking people and failing children. Thank God my child moved on to a great pre k program with wonderful, loving and nurturing TEACHERS.
We love the teachers/staff at Kindercare! Our son has been going here for a few years now and they are so kind and caring. We always feel at ease with him in such good hands. I highly recommend this daycare!
