What Parents Say
KinderCare Granada Hills receives highly polarized reviews. Positive reviewers praise nurturing teachers, developmental progress, engaging summer activities, and daily communication. However, negative reviews cite serious concerns including safety issues, staff shortages, alleged emotional harm to children, poor leadership, and unprofessional behavior from staff.
Hi every one I’m food delivery. This morning, on October 28, 2025, I received a food delivery order from McDonald’s to this kindergarten. The order required a PIN for verification, but the recipient of my order was unable to verify the PIN, even though I waited for more than 20 minutes for them to obtain the verification code. They were unable to do so, and this woman even snatched the order from my hands and tried to force me to leave after failing to verify the order. If anyone were in my position, what would they have done? Furthermore, this woman said that verifying the PIN was my responsibility, and that she did not have a PIN.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at kindercare! From the moment we enrolled our son, the staff has been incredibly warm, attentive, and supportive. They genuinely care about the children and create such a nurturing and engaging environment. The daily updates and photos give us peace of mind, and it’s clear that our son is thriving—he's always happy when we pick him up! The teachers are patient and loving, ensuring each child gets the attention they need. The facility is clean, well-organized, and filled with fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and socialization. As a parent, it’s reassuring to know that our son is in such good hands. We’re so grateful for the team at kindercare and highly recommend them to any family looking for a caring and trustworthy daycare.
"KinderCare Review: Safety Concerns and Emotional Trauma for My Child" Note: I hesitated to post this review because I wanted to be fair. We didn’t remove our child from this center sooner because we felt trapped. Prior to KinderCare, my child attended Bright Horizons, where he was unfairly targeted and pressured to undergo unnecessary testing. Even after confirming he was not autistic, the targeting continued, forcing us to switch to KinderCare when no other centers had openings. By the time we realized how problematic this center was, we were two months away from kindergarten and felt we had no other choice. Looking back, I regret not removing my child sooner. As a new parent, I want to emphasize: you don’t have to feel trapped like we did. Learn from our mistakes and avoid this place. Even now, my child occasionally remarks that "they have bad teachers," and it’s clear he’s still working through the trauma. Ideally, KinderCare should reimburse us for at least half the time my son was there. For now, all I can do is share our story in the hope that it helps others. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The (few) Positives: Mr. Bill: A retired educator who enriched the after-school program by engaging kids in meaningful activities and using his own money for classroom materials. Summer Activities: Thoughtfully planned events, like pony rides, foam parties, and Kona Ice visits, which my child enjoyed. ***The (many) Negatives: 1) Physical Safety Concerns: *Broken glass near the entrance wasn’t cleaned for days until I complained. *My purse was stolen from the parking lot, an issue the director knew about but failed to inform parents. *Roaches were seen inside the facility, especially near the kitchen area. 2) Psychological Harm: *One teacher unfairly targeted my child, calling him demeaning names like "stupid" and singling him out during events. *The teacher, Ms r, fabricated reasons to call me to pick him up, citing issues like shoes that allegedly didn’t meet policy, even though other children wore similar footwear. 3) Nap Policy: The center forced naps on children and frequently called parents to pick up kids who wouldn’t nap, causing unnecessary stress. 4) Lack of Leadership: The director failed to address major concerns or follow through on promises to resolve issues. ~~Conclusion: Despite KinderCare’s convenient location and occasional highlights, such as Mr. Bill and summer activities, the severe safety, hygiene, and emotional well-being issues cannot be overlooked. My child is still working through the trauma he experienced, and I deeply regret not removing him sooner. As a new parent, I encourage you to learn from our mistakes. You don’t have to feel trapped like we did. Avoid this center.
My son has been attending Granada Hills KinderCare for about 2 1/2 years now and I’m so happy I found this center. The teachers and the director are all amazing with my son. They are very nurturing and my son has learned a lot from his teachers. During the summer the center has many activities. From water play every week to magic shows and petting zoos. This center and the teacher there have really taught my son about the world that surrounds him among other things. I’m so grateful for this center!
My daughter started at Granada Hills KinderCare at 15 months. I was a little concerned for my daughter when she started because she barely talked. Well within a few months being at Granada Hills KinderCare she was talking, using her words and learned so much. She knows her ABCs, Animals/sounds Colors etc. Her teachers and staff have been so great with my daughter. My daughter is now 23 months and her teachers are already potty training her. I am so glad I've made the right decision in having my daughter in Granada Hills KinderCare. The staff and director there are so trustworthy and kind!
