We honestly couldn’t be happier with this daycare. The staff is so kind and welcoming, and you can tell they truly care about the kids. Both Frances and Leslie are both amazing, they’re super approachable, always communicating, and very involved. We checked out other places, including The Learning Experience, but this one just felt different in the best way. It feels personal, not corporate. Most importantly, my child loves it here and is always excited to go! which makes drop-offs so much easier. We’re really grateful we found this place and would recommend it to any parent. Thank you Kindercare (:
Kindercare in Ashland was our top choice center as we prepared for our baby girl. As first time parents they welcomed us with an orientation and from the minute we stepped into the infant classroom on Orientation Day, we were greeted with friendly smiles willing to guide us through these formative months and years of our daughter’s life. On Orientation Day and in the first months, we asked many questions and wrote many messages over the Kindercare app checking on our daughter’s day. As true educators there was no question “too dumb” or “out of line” because they always answered promptly with great detail which let us know all of her teachers and the directors (Miss Frances and Miss Leslie) knew how our daughter’s day was going. Every morning Miss Leslie greets our daughter with a genuine smile and hug; she treats our daughter as if she is her own which is what every first time parent wants in their daycare center as they leave their baby for the first time. The details provided through the Kindercare app give us peace of mind that we can track how she is doing throughout the day with her bottles, diapers, notes and pictures sent right to our phones. It is evident that her teachers have diverse experience and background knowledge that help create a safe learning space for her to explore her world and take those developmental leaps such as rolling and babbling in infancy. Her teachers really listen to us when we are asked what we wanted her goals to be and are helping her achieve those goals. We can’t wait to see what Kindercare has in store as she continues to grow through their classrooms and curriculum.
As a parent, choosing a daycare that prioritizes social and emotional learning is crucial for the well-being and development of my child. At Ashland KinderCare, the focus on these aspects ensures that my child's growth is nurtured in a healthy and supportive environment. The stellar staff at Ashland KinderCare is a significant factor in my confidence as a parent. These dedicated professionals go above and beyond to make sure my child feels comfortable and supported. They take the time to understand the unique needs of each child, helping them develop essential social and emotional skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Knowing that my child is in a place where they feel safe and valued is incredibly reassuring. The staff's commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere allows my child to express themselves freely and build confidence. By prioritizing emotional learning, they help my child develop empathy, resilience, and effective communication skills. As a parent, I am proud to have my child in a supportive community like Ashland KinderCare, where they can grow emotionally and socially, setting the foundation for a lifetime of success.
KinderCare used to be a place I could trust because of Christina and Jess. They were absolutely amazing—professional, kind, and they truly cared about the children and families. The center ran smoothly and felt safe under their leadership. But ever since KinderCare’s higher-ups pushed them out and brought in Amanda as the assistant director, everything has gone downhill. The building has completely flipped upside down. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. What was once a stable, nurturing environment has turned into chaos, and it’s clear management does not have the best interests of the children, families, or staff in mind. It’s heartbreaking and frustrating to watch a center that used to be run with so much love and respect fall apart because of poor leadership decisions. Losing Christina and Jess was Ashland KinderCare’s biggest mistake, and the difference shows every single day.
Don't be dismayed by the old reviews - Ashland KinderCare is amazing under new leadership! We started at Ashland KinderCare in fall of 2023 in the midst of a leadership transition. Before, there were often staffing shortages and the teachers were always changing you could hardly keep track of who was who. They had limited hours (children had to be picked-up at exactly 5pm), and even had days where they would close a certain classroom because there wasn't enough coverage. Communication was lacking, barely any photos, and you had no idea what your child was doing all day. That all changed with the arrival of Jessica and Christina! I am always telling people what an amazing difference they made to the center as Directors. We went from hardly any communication to multiple photos and videos a day, a weekly newsletter, and notices about what snacks and activities children will have. They even extended their hours for drop-off and pick-up. Ashland KinderCare asks for family feedback in multiple ways, and it's nice to see that feedback incorporated. For example, they created a board in the lobby with names and pictures of all the teachers, so you know who is who. They also have an occasional parents night out where they keep the center open later so you can have a much-needed date night! Other subtle things I've noticed is that the center just seems more lively. Children's crafts are hung on the walls and outside the classrooms, there was a fish, and (most importantly) chocolate treats for parents at the front desk.
