We’ve had an incredible experience with our child’s daycare at Kindercare Ann Arbor—the infant and toddler teachers quickly became some of our daughter’s favorite people. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care have meant so much to our family over the past year and a half. The administration has been consistently kind and communicative, and the whole center seems to truly love what they do. Would recommend!
We had a wonderful experience at the Ann Arbor KinderCare, particularly in the toddler A classroom. The teachers were kind, welcoming, and really helped our daughter adjust to being in daycare. They also made sure she had a smooth transition to the older class. All of the teachers, not just her specific classroom teachers, knew my daughter's name and greeted her each day when we walked in. We felt there was a safe community there watching her.
We have had two children attend Ann Arbor KinderCare and have had a wonderful experience. Our oldest was in the Pre-K program, which prepared him well to successfully transition to kindergarten. Our youngest was in the infant room and is now part of the toddler program. He loves it there and receives fantastic care and education. The directors and staff have all been exceptional. Communication is top notch. We enjoy getting updates and photos throughout the day.
Love this daycare! Here are some details about Ann Arbor KinderCare from my experience: Environment: This is a welcoming and enriching place to send your kids! The center has a great environment with an open-floor plan and child-friendly stations, books, and art everywhere (and a fish named Richard:)) It is spotlessly clean and precautions are taken to avoid spreading illness. Communication: Communication with parents about health issues and other news is excellent. Staff uses the app consistently to send pictures and updates. Flyers are always posted visibly everywhere to notify about upcoming theme weeks and news. Staff and programming: Both directors and many of the teachers have worked at KinderCare for many years, which says a lot! The two directors and all the teachers are very welcoming and take excellent care of our two children. I was in a tight spot with childcare situation and director Ms. Faith was a miracle worker, helping us get enrolled and going above and beyond to address our questions. Assistant director Ms. Keyante's warmth during our tour immediately reassured me that this was the right place. Ms. Janet in the infant room is truly the sweetest and most caring person. I knew my baby would be snuggled and loved even when I was out of sight. When drop-off for my toddler was initially rough, assistant director Ms. Keyante made my toddler feel involved and safe by allowing her to pass out breakfast, Ms. Teri created a special connection with her by starting some inside jokes and engaging her in conversation, and Ms. Kristi gave her a special treat to take her mind off missing mommy. Ms. Sammi and Ms. Kristi always have great themes and programming to enrich the toddler/preschool students' day. Even the teachers my daughters don't currently have go above and beyond to make the center feel warm and friendly. Despite being very busy with their own classes, Ms. Vinca, Ms. Abby, and Ms. Melissa greet me and my kids so warmly that we always feel seen and welcome. Points of improvement: Classrooms are always definitely within ratio, but additional staffing would allow the teachers a breather and the kids more attention. Snacks could be provided in larger quantities and could involve fewer crackers and more fresh fruits, veggies, and protein. (Those are provided, but could be more.) That said, I LOVE not having to pack breakfast, snack, or lunch! Overall, this is a great place to put your kids, and I definitely recommend it highly!
We have had a great experience so far at Kindercare and have been here nearly 2 years! Faith & Keyante, the directors, are fantastic. We’ve had great teachers ranging from the toddler A classroom all the way to Discovery Preschool/Preschool. It’s a small enough facility that even teachers who haven’t directly worked with our child know him & will say hello & talk with him/us. There are many fun activities planned throughout the year as well including spirit weeks, trunk or treat, and tons of fun in the summer!
