What Parents Say
KinderCare Eau Claire receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with nearly all reviewers praising the friendly and caring staff, engaging educational programs, and strong communication tools. The facility maintains low teacher turnover and has earned a 5-star Wisconsin Young Star rating with no violations in recent years. However, one parent reported serious concerns about staff behavior and their child's anxiety about attending.
My daughter has been going here for 5 years and we absolutely love it. The teachers are amazing. She wakes up every morning excited to go see her friends. The activities they do with the kids are just amazing. We couldn't be happier with the care out daughter has received here.
Do not send your kids here! I had my son enrolled for 2 years here. My son started to have behavioral issues starting the night before he knew he had to go to daycare. Drop off were incredibly challenging and heartbreaking. When he was home totally fine but would start again to get anxiety about going back to this place. I was late for drop off and the teacher did not hear me come in I heard her cursing and yelling at a little boy and whipped a pair of pants at him. I reported this to the office. They did nothing other than go and tell the teacher I reported her behavior. I took my son out the next day. He is now at Regis and zero tantrums at drop off he’s happier and seems more himself since leaving this place.
Chrissy who runs it is amazing! The teachers are friendly and they care about having fun and learning. All of my kids have gone there so we have been going for about 7ish yrs. My youngest who is now 4 is looking forward to starting 4k through them as well. He is very judgmental when it comes to new people but he took to Ms. Laura right away. His teacher is the best. Definitely recommend
Our 3 year old was at the Eau Claire Kindercare for 3 months. While there, he was served or exposed to food he is allergic to on 2 different occasions, despite very specific discussions with the directors and teachers in his room about how to handle that. Both incidents resulted in treating his allergic reaction. 2 different lead teachers in his room left without any notice to the parents, and there were often teachers in the room I had never seen before, indicating high turnover. The teachers in his room used excessive amounts of screentime (watching shows on a tablet), in place of educational or interactive learning. I'm comfortable with using videos for limited educational or activity based content, but I saw screens used purely for distraction and sometimes during meal times. Many mornings at drop off, the teachers would require the kids to sit and watch shows in the morning, instead of playing or talking. I have seen little to no educational enrichment for my child here, and have felt that his health and well-being were at risk.
My son has been at KinderCare for a few months and we couldn't be happier. The teachers and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of individual children, and staff and parents alike are going above and beyond to follow best practices for safety during the pandemic.
