What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Overlake KinderCare for its caring, nurturing environment and dedicated staff who support each child's individual growth. The center is noted for strong academics (phonics, math, literacy focus), excellent communication with families, cleanliness, quality meals, and engaging learning activities. Children reportedly enjoy attending daily and transition well into the program.
Overlake KinderCare is a place where children are treated with kindness, patience, and genuine care. The staff works hard to make sure every child feels seen and supported. Teachers take time to understand each child’s needs and help them grow at their own pace. The learning activities are creative and engaging, and there’s a strong focus on social skills, independence, and confidence-building. The communication with families is wonderful — I always know what my child is learning, how they’re doing, and what’s coming next. It’s clear that Overlake KinderCare is dedicated to providing a safe, positive, and enriching environment. My child enjoys going every day and has grown in so many ways since enrolling. I’m truly grateful for the team here!
The facility is fully staffed with a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:7 for toddlers and includes a small kitchen. Most teachers appear to be non-native English speakers, primarily from India or other countries. During my visit, I did not observe any caring or engaging interactions between teachers and children. All four toddlers in the classroom had visible nasal infections, with yellow-green nasal discharge running down their faces, which the teachers did not clean or address. There was also a noticeable lack of verbal communication or interactive engagement between teachers and students. Although an outdoor playground was present, it was not included in the tour. The entire visit lasted approximately five minutes and concluded with a folder containing basic information. Overall, the lack of personal hygiene, health attention, and apparent care from the teaching staff raises significant concerns.
Good learning center as the name says, and best place for those who expect a professional center for their kids. This Daycare has phonics and maths too that helps your kids to learn it as well
We had a wonderful experience at this center. There were some staff changes while we were there (i.e. the Center Director changed from Ms Marzieh to Ms Luisa) and we continued to feel welcomed, valued, and efficiently helped as needed. All the teachers we encountered were loving and engaged with our little guy- we have bumped into 2 different teachers outside of school and the encounters were so sweet that our little guy still talks about them as life highlights. Things I noted about the daycare itself: we received lots of pictures of our child throughout the day. The names of teachers and their classes is posted on the wall so it was easy to learn the names of all the teachers our child encountered through the day. The center is kept very clean. There were a good variety of meals (always with fruits and veggies) served in a way that had our child eating a balanced diet at school (even though he is a whimsical toddler). There are lots of high-quality toys in all the classrooms and outside in the play areas (i.e. the set of magnatiles in a class has enough for 10 children to be building at once). The outside play areas are great- lots of cars and bikes, etc, and a track to drive them on. It seems like this center has a definite focus on literacy- routine times for reading and looking at books, a consistent practice of learning letters and writing. An optional activity during the summer was kids yoga outside, which seemed awesome. We're grateful to all the teachers and staff for making our time here really great.
I had a tour with this daycare and experienced the worst daycare ever! I got discrimination from the director and there’s no respect!! The director doesn’t allow me to meet/see the class teacher or see the classroom. She asked me to book another tour after two weeks since she’s leaving this daycare. It’s totally a waste of time for touring this daycare! I clearly mentioned my expectation on the phone before booking this tour. But apparently, it got ignored. If the director treats you the worst, how could it be better for your kids? So I don’t recommend to send children to this daycare, not even worth a tour. You’ll get the least information during the tour compared to other daycare. Worst experience ever!!!
