Academically this school is actually not terrible. The children learn preschool basics and then some, albeit using outdated methods. However, the staff (aside from the director) seriously lacks in the way of professionalism and has no training in the social and emotional needs of children. The tone of voice used with the children is often inappropriate and reflects the emotional state of the staff member (frustrated, angry, annoyed, etc.). Here they focus on stopping undesirable behaviors with unproductive and age inappropriate methods that are convenient to the staff such as raising their voices at the children and having them write standards rather than taking the time and making the effort to find out what the true issue/unmet need is that is leading to the behavior and addressing that. The "teachers" just don't care enough about the children or the school to do this nor do they have the training necessary to know how. It is evident that most of the staff is doing the bare minimum (and in some instances not even that much) to keep their jobs. The school's director is very welcoming and professional. She does genuinely care about the children and makes herself available to the parents to answer any questions. It is baffling that the rest of the school is staffed so poorly. The school is stuck in the dark ages of discipline and teaching and I am thankful that I was able to see what the environment is actually like and find a facility for my child where the children are treated respectfully with a professional staff that focuses on educating the whole child(academically, emotionally, etc.). There is more to learning in childhood than reciting ABCs and writing your name
Teachers are friendly and always communicate. I love the flexibility they provide and I feel good when I drop off my kid and pick him up.
Five star experience. My daughter comes home and shares things with me that she learned in science class and it blows my mind. hands down one of the best head starts in Los Angeles
I WANT TO THANK THE STAFF FOR THERE LOYALTY AND DEDICATION TO THE CHILDREN AT KINDER KIDS, THEY HAVE BEEN AN AMAZING HELP IN MY AND MY CHILD'S LIFE, THE STAFF HERE IS CARING, LOVING, AND PATIENT. MY CHILD HAS LEARNED SO MUCH FROM ATTENDING THIS SCHOOL; HOW TO READ, WRITE, IDENTIFY SHAPES, PLACES ON A MAP! COUNT, ADD, SUBTRACT, SPANISH AND MUCH MORE. I RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY AND EVERYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO START YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN ON THE RIGHT PATH TO SUCCESS. -JW
I just recently moved to the neighborhood and when me and my son would walk by this school he would always hear the laughter and the kids playing on the yard and get so excited my wife took him to visit the facility and we enrolled him this was the best decision by far such a wonderful school and place to live mid city bring your kids youbwill love this facility
