What Parents Say
This is not a daycare center but a ski resort in Killington, Vermont. Reviews praise the resort's terrain variety, lift quality, and mountain operations. Visitors consistently report positive experiences with skiing, dining, and facilities.
I took three days of ski lessons at Killington during Christmas and had an amazing experience as a beginner. The first day covered basics like equipment, getting on/off skis, and stopping using the pizza technique on the K-1 learning path. My second and third lessons were with an outstanding instructor, Garry, who made a huge difference. He explained body, knee, and foot control clearly, used great analogies for turning, taught speed control, how to get up after a fall, and made getting on/off the lift easy. On day three we skied down Snowshed Mountain, and I never fell getting off the lift! Classes were two hours, I took the 12:45 pm session to avoid crowds. The mountain felt busy but not overcrowded. I felt safe. After just three days, I felt confident skiing, turning, stopping, and recovering from falls. Highly recommend Killington and Garry!
Great overall. Great lifts, several different slopes of varying difficulty and kind staff. Half way up on the eastern side there's a really good Jamaican jerk food joint. We went on a holiday weekend (MLK) and the lines still weren't that bad. Highly recommend it.
Phenomenal resort!! Absolutely stunning and wonderful experience. My only feedback is I wish the main dining hall at K1 was better managed. Folks should not be allowed to store their belongings on tables and just camp out there as there is limited seating for the amount of people. Otherwise it is a great resort with nice staff, well maintained slopes and facilities, and good food!
Super expensive for a day pass but a pleasant surprise with a lot of diverse runs with excellent conditions. The staff was jovial and super helpful. If I ever get an Icon pass I'll be back.
Great mountain and solid facilities including food and bathrooms. Lifts are top notch and fast. Terrain has plenty of steeps and long winding green trails for soul surfers like the Great Northern. I could do that one all day; the older I get the more I enjoy it.
