What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Kigala Preschool for its bilingual language programs (German and Spanish), warm and caring teachers, and strong sense of community. The school emphasizes outdoor learning, creative play, and project-based activities in well-equipped classrooms and outdoor spaces. All reviewers report their children thrived academically and socially, with lasting friendships formed among both children and parents.
We absolutely love Kigala! Our daughter was in the German class for 2.5yrs and she is still more comfortable speaking German thanks to the excellent bilingual program and wonderful, caring teachers. Even now she loves going back to pick up our son who joined after turning 2 and he already speaks more German and loves going to school. We especially love the amazing outdoor classroom (and the fact that it’s used in any weather), wooden toys, endless books, activities, music and art projects. We are so lucky to have found many wonderful friends through the Kigala community as well. Another preschool wasn’t even an option for us!
We can truly recommend Kigala Preschool. Both of our children attended Kigala, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. One of the most special things about Kigala is the strong community. Our kids made wonderful friends there, and so did we as parents – many of these friendships have continued even after our children graduated. We especially loved the outdoor area and garden, where the kids could dig, explore nature, and plant things. The teachers are incredibly warm, caring, and dedicated. Our children learned not only academically, but also so much about kindness, confidence, and how to treat others with empathy. Creativity and art are also beautifully encouraged. Kigala is a truly nurturing and inspiring place, and we are very grateful that our children were part of it.
Our daughter started at Kigala in the Spanish program this school year, and I can't say enough good things about the school. From our initial tour, everyone was so welcoming and kind. This was our daughter’s first experience being cared for by someone outside of our family, so we were a little nervous about such a big adjustment. What I love about Kigala is that they offered Parent and Me classes to help us get comfortable before starting school. They also held an Open House, which was a wonderful way to ease our little one into the environment before her first official day. Once she started, her teachers proved to be absolutely amazing...here in our family, we call them superheroes! They are all so kind and nurturing with the kids. Our daughter is in the Spanish program and she loves it. My husband speaks Spanish, but I am not fluent, so it was important to us that our daughter learn Spanish at school. Kids at this age soak up languages like a sponge, and she’s already learned so much in just her first month! I highly recommend Kigala! The class sizes are small, the language program is stellar, the teachers are incredibly kind, and the outdoor classroom feels like their very own park. I will say, for our daughter, the thing she talks about most is all the art projects. They have a dedicated art classroom, easels outside, and plenty of crafts indoors too. It’s what gets her excited to head out the door each morning...well, that and seeing her wonderful teachers!
Our son (2.5 yo) started in the german class this fall and we are so glad we chose Kigala! The classrooms, outdoor areas and art studio are all amazing and well equipped with a lot of wooden toys and a great variety. All teachers and staff do a fantastic job of making the kids feel safe and seen. We spend a lot of time outdoors and we love that Kigala really focuses on doing the same. Even on rainy days, they encourage to bring rain gear and extra clothes so the kids can experience getting wet and dirty :) The classes are small and the days have a good balance of playing, education and learning to be independent. It's only been a couple of months since our son started preschool at Kigala but it already feels like a big family and we are always excited to join social events, like family picnics or open days.
We couldn’t be happier with Kigala! From Elke, who runs the school with so much passion, to the amazing teachers who care for and educate the children, everything about this preschool is exceptional. Our kids have thrived in a loving environment and have become confident in Spanish, ready for a Spanish immersion elementary school. Kigala is more than a preschool—it’s a wonderful community. We’ve been proud to have our children here since 2021 and highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing and high-quality early education.
