While the longtime caregivers remain dedicated and attentive- frequent staff turnover, inconsistent hiring standards, and inadequate cleaning services and safety measures did not meet my expectations. I experienced multiple concerns including my child being sent home wearing two layered dirty diapers—the inner diaper was not the brand we provided and was wet, while their usual diaper brand we provided was placed over it and also wet. Additionally, room-temperature coffee was spilled on them, and undertrained staff used inappropriate teaching methods. When my child was in the infant room I also observed cleanliness issues, such as unsanitary toys and mini-fridges. Their bathrooms are also worn down and dirty. The most significant concern I had was regarding pick-up security. The keypad system is vulnerable as parents often hold the door for others. In the school-age wing, the front desk is frequently unattended, and the daycare wing relies solely on the keypad with no additional supervision. I noticed that new or temporary staff members are not introduced to families, which can lead to issues with identifying authorized caregivers during pick-up. On one occasion, I was able to pick up my child without being asked for identification by a temporary staff member we had never met. This temporary staff member was the only staff present at pick up in my child's room, which raised concerns about the security process. I addressed this with the director and staff at the time, but was told there were "no good solutions," and that another staff member across the hall was providing supervision while also caring for other children. Unfortunately, this response did not resolve my concerns. The director was open to discussing my concerns and we met more than once to address issues, but despite best efforts I ultimately could no longer trust them with my child’s health and safety and cannot confidently recommend this center.

Kids First is an asset to the OF community. While facilities are older, the staff and general morale are wonderful. The staff are kind, attentive, and approachable. Childcare is hard and under appreciated, despite this the staff work hard to make every child feel seen and loved. Our experiences with Amy, Jayden, and Shelby have been great. Our son has learned so much academically and socially. Communication from Kids First is clear and consistent. I love the Procare app they use to share photos, meals, and bathroom break throughout the day. We are looking forward to continuing through their daycare and preschool in the coming years.

I can’t say enough great things about Ms. Judy and Kids First Daycare! From the moment we enrolled, we knew our child was in caring, capable hands. Ms. Judy is incredibly attentive, compassionate, and truly makes each child feel special. She creates a warm and fun environment where kids can learn, play, and grow. The activities are engaging, and we’ve noticed our child’s development blossom since joining. Every day, I feel confident leaving my little one there, knowing they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. Highly recommend Kids First Daycare to any parent looking for the best care for their child!

My kids have been going there for about 5 years, and I have nothing but great things to say! The staff is all so sweet and caring. I have nothing but great things to say about everyone there. Sydney, in the infant room, is one of the best caregivers I have ever had care for my kids! You can tell that she genuinely loves what she does and the kids she works with. My daughter looks forward to seeing her every morning! I also love how every morning/evening as we are walking down the hall, my daughter is greeted by name with a huge smile from various other caregivers in the center. If I can't be the one taking care of my infant each day, I'm glad that she has the wonderful people of KidsFirst.

We love KidsFirst, all of our kids are well taken care of. Miss Shelby is especially great with its my daughter. She has taught her so much and helped her potty train quickly!
