Since the owner had an attorney contact me threatening to sue me for telling the truth I am editing my post. I enrolled my grandson here but personally did not feel comfortable with the way some situations were handled. In my experience, when he was upset, I felt that the staff didn’t provide the level of comfort and care I hoped for. I also felt that my concerns were not taken as seriously as I expected when I brought them to management. Because of these experiences, I personally would not choose this childcare again, and I encourage other parents to ask plenty of questions to make sure it feels like the right fit for their family.

I had a nephew that went there and was so happy to go. He never had nothing bad to say he loved his teacher and all the kids that where there. Not once did he have anything bad to said. He loved to be there all the time.

I debated on posting a review but considering this place is charged with the well being and development of children, I felt I needed to share my experience. We tried taking our 15 month old daughter and knew there would be some challenges/separation anxiety. What we did not expect is that our daughter would be left to cry until she was choking and not one of the three teachers in the room would go to comfort her, even though she was the only child crying. The teachers must not have known I was watching outside the door, because as my child was choking from crying so hard, I walked right back in and immediately picked her up to comfort her as they should have done. I asked if there was a policy preventing them from holding her or comforting and was told, “…we try not to hold them because we don’t want them to get used to being held”, and that there are other children they need to take care of. Mind you, my daughter was the only child crying and one of the three teachers in the room at that time, had been holding a little boy, who was not crying, since he had been dropped off (5-10 minutes). At that moment, I knew we had chosen the wrong childcare facility. The belief that you will spoil a child or get them used to being held is false. When a child is in distress, physically comforting them by holding them or even just rubbing their back has so many emotional and social benefits. It serves to establish a bond. It builds a relationship of trust and safety between children and caregivers. The fact that staff hold this misguided belief and used it as their reasoning to not comfort my daughter, led us to immediately remove her from their care. I could not in good conscience leave my child in this facility ever again. The site supervisor Meri, did call me hours later to learn more about this situation but it honestly felt insincere and like the point of the conversation was mute once I let her know my husband would be formally submitting our 2 week notice later today. I also doubt it will lead to any real changes. I would caution any family considering this facility to strongly evaluate whether this is a good fit for them. If your child has not been in a childcare setting, might have some attachment/separation anxiety, or just needs to be comforted from time to time, this is probably not the place for them.

Both My son and I had a positive experience at Kids World. He still talks about his time there and how he misses his teachers.

Our daughter always had a big smile when we'd come to pick her up and she got very attached to the staff. They truly cared for her and were very attentive. I cried more picking her up for her last day and saying goodbye than I did on her very first day. The only downside is we wish they were a little more technological but we understand it helps keep costs down. We were very happy with their care and feel so lucky our daughter got to attend. She was stimulated by the bigger kids in her classroom and I think she started crawling earlier because of that! Thank you for taking such great care of our little one. I wish she was older so she could remember how wonderful you are.
