Kids Town Drop-In Child Care @ Smoky Hill

Edit: Parker is now closed and we transferred our info there 2 weeks ago. Also, was told by Highlands Ranch they’re not responsible for refunds, but they will take transfers for free. They didn’t seem too willing to do that either… So ALOT of people may be out money. Very unprofessional how this was handled. Our daughter has been coming here for a while and she thoroughly enjoys it… But over the last couple of months the employees have completely changed. I have not seen Holly or Kelsey since May. It seems like the new teachers are still learning without an experienced manager on site. The last time we got her, marker all over her face, she had an irritated eye from being poked in the eye with a marker (she had red marker on her eyelids)… and she literally had red marker up her nose we had to clean out, along with snot all over her face from irritating her nose. She had a cleft palate repair so it’s important she’s not sticking things in her mouth, etc. I do question how much they were watching them. She definitely was not changed during that time because her diaper was FULL when we got her after 3 hours. The last few times we’ve dropped off or picked up it’s been kind of hectic and chaotic. It may just be a learning curve for all involved… we are very patient, but for a drop off day care, sometimes you don’t have the time to go through the growing pains of learning. Hoping it gets better.

We have been taking our daughter here for almost a year and we have nothing but good things to say about the staff and facility! They're so wonderful and treat ALL of the kids with love and understanding. They are decently priced and have lots of flexibility and availability. Drop in works well for our family and this location is perfect! They are always fully staffed too! They are also very conveniently located by Safeway and a nail salon. If I need to do my grocery shopping for an hour they're right next door, OR if I need a little me time, the salon is 2 doors down.

5/5 Stars. Been taking my kids here for 2 years and the staff has been amazing. They are incredibly welcoming and receptive everytime my kids show up, and they look forward to seeing the staff members each day. I take them more frequently than most and have never had any problems. They are very communicative if something happens between my children or other kids (which it seldom does). I’ve read other negative reviews and have to say I’ve never experienced anything like the negative reviews claim. My children love Kidstown the staff, the crafts, the activities, etc. They have taken leaps in terms of social development, as well as respecting authority figures. Love Kidstown and all they are doing!

Both of my girls have been going there for over a year now, and it has been absolutely wonderful. They work with us and are as accommodating as they can be. My schedule is busy as well as my hubby. They have become like a second family atmosphere for my girls. There are days that might not go as “awesome” as most days, but we are human and it’s normal. Safety and well-being are at least ALWAYS the priority. Every staff member there is absolutely great. My girls come home with more personality and imagination. The art projects are crazy awesome. 5 stars through and through

My son absolutely loves this place! The moment we arrive he goes running in! When I first began bringing him, he of course was upset when I would leave. The staff was absolutely amazing at helping us out with his initial separation anxiety, that same day he didn't want to leave when it was time to go. This place is more affordable than a babysitter, especially on Friday nights when it's only $4 an hour! We will definitely be using this drop-in center as much as we can!
