HORRIBLE staffing and management. Would give zero stars if I could. All they care about is money, not the children. Was told that my son (who can only have certain things to eat and drink) couldn’t bring a lunch with him each day because they don’t allow outside food. I know I am not the only mother with kids who have specific diet needs or even just picky eaters! That is crazy. Staff was rude and so many kids were crying.

This is an excellent school. My daughter has been going here for 2 years and they have taught her Spanish and English very well. It is a pleasure to work with Mrs. Rosa and her family. I am thankful for trusting this school to help raise my daughter.

I'm honestly shocked by all the bad reviews because we love this daycare. Our kids have been here over a year now and they have both thrived with language acquisition, creativity, and fine and gross motor skills. The day care takes care of them and the staff members actually treat my kids like family. They do fun little events like movie nights, Christmas performances, and more. They have a door code now so I feel safer and they use a Procare app so you can see what your kids are doing all day. They welcome you to come watch the cameras at any time of the day too. I did that at first because I was anxious leaving my kids in day care and they were accomodating and allowed me to do so. In my experience, the staff is very warm and kind and caring. My son eats well, and they feed my baby regularly. They stay on top of diaper changes and are working with me to potty train my toddler. They often give child development surveys and do things like free vision and speech screenings so you can do early intervention with your child if there's a problem. The little playground is nice and my son seems to love it. My son is always excited to go here and my daughter is just a baby but she doesn't cry when I drop her off because she obviously feels secure with her caregivers. Since starting her, my son has just exploded in speech development and he now cleans up his toys at home while singing a little clean up song. Theyre always sending him home with art he does in school and he knows lots of songs and his letters, numbers, and colors. In the pictures, they always have my baby in bumbo chairs and with toys and socializing with other babies so she's being stimulated. The girls in the baby room are so sweet (Mary and Andrea and Alma especially) and Vanessa and Pablo treat my son like family in the toddler room. The only bad thing is sometimes their clothes go missing or one of my son's blankets went missing but I think that would happen at any day care. If you send something with your child to day care, you better label it and accept that it may get lost. I also think their automated check in system is very secure and it's easy to add a designated pickup person if needed. It's expensive but you get a lot for what you pay for and they accept CYFD contracts. So my family loves this day care and they feel like family to my kids and I can't recommend them enough. I wouldn't put too much stock in the other bad reviews because we've never had a single issue.

I actually did not get to experience much of this school. I had gone in signed the contract, specifically stated that my son need after school and occasionally before school care. The start date was the next day on 08/15/2018. The school offers transportation of students to and from schools, which I thought at the time would be extremely beneficial to my family and since his father and I are both professionals. The day that my son was supposed to start he was sent home on the school bus and was missing for over two hours. Although I am aware that this issue is not completely all on Kid's place 2, I hold them accountable along with Desert Star Elementary due to the fact that they did not notify me upon picking him up, that he was not at the school. In fact, I found out that he was not at KID'S PLACE 2 by doing a random call to check to see how my son was doing, being that it was his first day in after school care, and that's when they said "oh he's not here". For this reason the very next day after finding my son I resigned from the program and was issued a refund but not the $30.00 Registration fee Which to me was also unfair I gave them an opportunity and they dropped the ball, on the FIRST day! . I am truly disappointed in the school systems , here in Alamogordo. For having lack of compassion, integrity, and professionalism. To pay for a peace of mind and get this result instead is devastating and scary. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

Kids Planet is highly recommended! The teachers are very caring and put my childs safety and needs first. They provide meals and educational lessons everyday for the children. My daughter loves it there and they are willing to work with me on my payment when I needed it because just like when I go to work I'm expected to be paid as anyone is and the staff had went above and beyond for me and my child. The teachers are educated and take classes to give high quality services to the children in the community... honestly any bad reviews on this place are only by people who didn't want to pay for their child's care.. absolutely love this child care center!
