I am writing this review only after my children have been officially unenrolled and placed in safer, more professional childcare environments. What occurred at this center was not a single misunderstanding—it was a pattern of neglect, intimidation, and deeply inappropriate behavior toward both children and parents. This review is based solely on my direct experiences as a parent. My son, was enrolled at this daycare while experiencing known behavioral and emotional challenges. These concerns were communicated. What I expected was patience, training, and partnership. What I received instead was judgment, hostility, and actions that put my child at risk. One of the earliest red flags occurred when a staff member referred to my son as a “demon”, believing I had already left the building. No child should ever be labeled in such a dehumanizing way, especially in a childcare setting meant to nurture and protect. As I continued to advocate for my son, I had two separate interactions with two different staff members regarding concerns for his care. One of those interactions escalated to the point where a staff member got in my face and threatened to fight me. Both staff members involved in these incidents ultimately quit. This speaks volumes about the environment and leadership at this facility. The final and most serious incident involved a teacher throwing a chair in the classroom, which resulted in my son being scratched. When speaking to my child’s stepfather, the teacher claimed the injury was an “accident,” stating she was protecting other children and that my son was the one throwing chairs claiming she merely “blocked it.” However, I have video footage from the classroom, and that account is not accurate. The footage shows a very different sequence of events. Regardless of explanation, throwing furniture in a room full of children is never acceptable, and attempting to misrepresent what occurred only made the situation worse. Equally troubling was how the situation was handled by the owner, Sandra C. Pyant. Throughout this entire process, she was consistently dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Rather than speaking with me directly, she frequently used other staff members to relay messages. On the one occasion we did speak, she talked over me, continued conversations in the background while I was speaking, and at one point told someone on her end that “she just keeps repeating herself.” That was the moment I realized there would be no accountability. Ms. Pyant repeatedly referenced her credentials (RN, BSN, MBA, CCM) in a way that felt less informative and more belittling. She even made assumptions about my parenting—specifically implying that I abruptly stopped my son’s psychiatric medication. This was not true. I responsibly titrated him off, and as someone entering the nursing profession myself, I am fully aware of the seriousness of medication management. These assumptions were made without ever having a proper, respectful, in-person conversation with me. To further complicate matters, Ms. Pyant instructed staff not to sign the paperwork required to transfer my children due to a balance she knew would be handled through Title 20 regardless of her signature. Staff attempted to explain this to her, yet she still refused—an action that felt purely spiteful and obstructive during an already stressful situation involving child safety. Since removing my children from this center, they are thriving. Their new schools demonstrate what professionalism, emotional regulation, and child-centered care actually look like. The difference has been immediate and undeniable. I am sharing this because parents deserve transparency. Children, especially those who need additional support, should never be subjected to aggression, labeling, or environments where concerns are dismissed and accountability is avoided. Please ask questions. Please observe carefully. And please trust your instincts. No child deserves this! **I wish I could give NO stars !
