I can’t say good enough things about this center. Our son is in the infant class, and the teachers are so amazing. They take the kids on walks outside, do art projects, and so much more! I trust them fully! The other teachers also seem wonderful and always say hi to my son. He’s so loved there, and I feel so grateful we found such a nurturing place
This review is long overdue as, 3 months later, I still think of Kids Korner with such fondness. We initially sent our little one to a new daycare that opened up in the area. The facilities were impressive and we received pictures and reports every singe day. We moved her soon after because of reasons that I won’t discuss here. What I can say, is that it was a true blessing because we found Kids Corner. The facilities may be a bit older and less impressive but the change in this little girl was remarkable. She beamed with excitement whenever she saw her teacher Karen. All the teachers were attentive and supportive. She was always happy when I dropped her off and was all smiles when I picked her up. Cindy loves all the kids and is a truly amazing person. Most important, I saw the teachers on the floor with the kids every single day instead of on iPads (which they do not allow) or phones. Even the Occupational Therapist who worked with our little girl told me how impressed she was by the teachers. My husband is a senior administrator at an independent school and I am a learning specialist so our standards are very high. The warmth, love, compassion and dedication that I saw at Kids Korner is the reason we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a daycare.
I sent my son here 6 years ago I felt the staff was uneducated and ignorant and the owner was not really a people person or a child advocate. My friend sent her daughter here and liked it a lot. I didn't feel my child was unsafe it was more about the type of social education they were giving the children. My son is mixed ethnicity & at 4 yr old-- I had not taught him about race, the staff were obsessed with his racial identity and teaching him about race. Every day they asked him if he was black or white. I finally took him out when they told him I was black and asked him if he was white. Maybe they are better now but as far as I am concerned babies don't need to worry or learn about race at daycare.
